Eddie stobarts widnes

The only thing I had against Stobarts was making their drivers wear ties - I didn’t want that to catch on
Now, it just seems fashionable to slag 'em out - I’m not into playing the fashion game…

Eddie Stobart
Took his father fleet of 3 wagons in to the thousand cutting the haulage rates just to get the work
Sold up to younger brother william for a quid as long as he took his 70 million pound det on
Then when andrew tinkler found out that his wharehoues where all on a lease and he did not own them he took hiss million pound house off him
I suppose all his parcel sacks and pump up pallet trucks where on lease hire as well
And now look at him where he is today
6 feet under in a box with a toom stone saying
Eddie Stobart- ended up with a quid and no house
woops fogot to mention his fan club

Why not its all true
Stoby Goby ruined the haulage game for everyone including himself
But some people are frightened of the truth; to busy with there own ego like Im a stobart tropper come join out silly little fan club and look at me
That company should never of been bailed out; WA should of let it go to the wall and an end to stobarts crap
And now look at WA can even balance the books after the take on of stobarts when WA used to be a profitable venture

But fair play to old tinkler ay
he saw sence to sell it on the stock martket to all the muppit stobert tropers

I hope you like your tie sir

I’m confused are we blaming Stobbies for ruining the haulage game for cutting rates or the foreign drivers for cutting the rates and working millions of hours running bent, or stealing our jobs by working for less? Someone tell me what to think.

I think you should think about what some people think, and then think “sod 'em!” HTH

But what are the crowd doing? I need to follow them because I can’t think for myself :unamused: :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, the consensus seems to be it’s all somebody else’s fault…

wages-im not going to go into meal allowances ,fuel bonuses etc as its been done hundreds of times
im a day shift driver not a tramper, last 2 wage slips were
6 daysx75.30 hrs=£755.86
5 daysx67.5 hrs=£727.66
difficult to know what youll earn as it depends what days, hours, start times etc,etc you work.again best of luck

Ady,you did another days work (7.8hrs) for £28.20?

You are correct on all account
But stobby gobby would do tings like 50p a tone from anywhere in Scotland to Carlisle
And free haulage on the food cans as long as he could charge them for the storage

If he ran the det up on his own money we would not be to bothered
But how on earth he found a bank manager daft enough to give him a 5 million pound personal over draft when he had no assets is beond beggers belife
Mind you when he can make a ■■■■ and bull story about owning all his warehoues wen infact they too where all on lease it kind of changes things

The only thing I had about stobby gobby was the stobart spotter
white vans would hide in the bushes of service stations and every time a stobart driver pulled in they would go check and see if he was whereing green underwhere
And if not he would be sacked on the spot

and then there the waving
if a motorist waved to a stobart driver the stobart driver had to wave back
if not they would take down her name and report the driver and instant sacking

Batista230 I don’t understand your logic here??

You obviously dislike change and entrepreneurs so in that case you must also not similar enterprises such as:

Freddie Laker - Due to this man; many airlines ceased to exist but his vision completely changed the airline industry. His legacy though still lives on - This man is partly responsible for the cheap air fares that we pay today and nearly everyone benefits from this.

An up to date example would be the “go compare” website. It is responsible for many independent insurers going to the wall but guess what we now get a better deal and more variety than we did in the past. Its also a much simpler industry with better regulation which again we all benefit from.

Whether anyone likes it or not Stobart’s just seized an opportunity when the entire food market in the UK was going through a fundamental and irreversible change. This would have been a huge risk for Stobart’s and it could have gone badly wrong. The upshot is Stobart’s plays its part in getting cheap and diverse food and products on the market. Again we all benefit from this.

I can only assume that your dislike of Stobart’s is a personal one?

Sounds like you’re more peed off that he got some money from a bank and you didnt.

I don’t care whether batista likes esl or not but man,I wish he would learn to spell and use a little punctuation(tin hat on)

chane in enterprice for bureaucratic red tape
everyone downs tools just to put ticks in boxes
Then nothing gets done
The daily walk round checks, more ticks in boxes, more morons in an office
The CPC- now we are all incompotent drivers because a bunch of have a go hitlers in brussels told us so
And not forget the 56mph restrion stobart fitted to the wagons back in 1984
coz of him the have a go hitlers in brussels passed law on it 2 years later
Thank you very much mr. stobart

Ady,you did another days work (7.8hrs) for £28.20?

no,what i did was a 11 hr o/t shift ,this would be worth
6 hrsx 8.50
4.5 hrsx7.60
13…00 m/a
3.50 f/b
our pay system means if i go in on a sun and do 15 hrs ,then the following week do a ten hour shift im 5 hrs short that week,if i do midnight starts one week then 6 a.m the next im about £30 worse off that week, the way to look at it is if i had not gone in id be 11 hrs pay short off what i earnt.
if i do 70 hrs one week then 70 hrs the next depending on start times, how many hours sat/sun i do,how much f/b i get can mean hell of a difference one week to the next

coz I used to work for them
