I did mine with QTT & IMO they’re very good at what they do, they’re Midlands based but I did my courses with them in Somerset. IF I’m still driving & they’re still runing the courses when my card expires I’ll go with them again without a second thought.

I dont think it will get to those extreems Rob, there will defo be a lot thinking bollox to it only got a year or 6 mnths till i retire in the back of there mind and pack it in…and rather spend the money on a fortnight in Spain…
Yeah, but those same people said the same when log books changed to tachos and then when tachos changed to digi, yet they are still out there driving trucks and moaning about it all. I don’t think there will be the mass loss of drivers come September '14 like many are predicting. I think it will just be yet another round of moaning about it then eventually putting their hand in their pocket and doing it just like everyone else.
Not me Rob, there will allways be the worriers arse hole puckering, that will cough up, i just wish i could come up with somat as good to fleece people out of there hard earned…i would be sunning myself on some tropical island…the bloke who thought it up probably does and laughing his bollox off at our expense.
Some people just won’t listen on here if you think this is going to be scraped you are Dreaming. Do you think that the French and German government’s are going to allow it to be scraped after they pushed to get it going. It’s not a British rule its a European Union law.
None done so far and no intention of starting, looking to retire the following April anyway. I have mentioned it at work to see what the response is. The parent company, Owen Pugh, are looking to get accreditation and do it in house. My boss still recons we don’t need it as we are exempt! No idea why but he insists he is correct. I am looking forward to next year already.

Not bad, get rota’d off the road one of my normal work days and spend 8 hours in the classroom with another couple of lads. Not a bad crack to be fair. Get full pay for it too.
28 hours done. What have i learnt? How to sleep wae ma eyes open
First 21 hours was some laugh. We got sent down south, stay the night in a decent hotel 50 quid for bar/restaurant. This year it got done in our ■■■■■■■■ depot and the TM’s wife made us a buffet. The good times have gone gentlemen
Done 14 pain staking hours thus far, I’m not paying which is a good thing I hate wasting my money on ■■■■■ but were doing it on bloody Saturdays, the next 7 hours is this Saturday 8.30am on my day off sat in a [zb] portacabin being bored to tears I wouldn’t mind doing it at all if i actually learnt something or it made me any better at my job, all my instructor bangs on about is h&s this h&s that I’m starting to get scared to leave the ■■■■■ yard in the morning!

Covered until 2019 for about two years now but as the company just keeps holding training days when the work’s quiet I’ve just received my card valid to 2024. I imagine it will either be lost or ragged by then mind you…
REALLY??
I’ve done all mine, and could’ve got more hours in with my ADR but was told it’s pointless as it’s a 5 year ongoing training scheme and anything between now and sep 2014 wouldn’t count towards anything.
Mine expires Sep 2019 and I have between Sep 2014 and Sep 2019 to complete my next 35hrs.
I did 7hrs, then 35hrs, then ADR, so if you’re right, I could’ve only needed another 7hrs? I didn’t get any for my ADR and saved the ‘upload fees’ instead.

This is actually the most likely reason to cause it being scrapped, ie disagreement between France and Germany over it.
If it got to a situation where a transport minister in this country was being harangued by Jeremy Paxman about why supermarket shelves weren’t full and the Daily Mail got hold of the fact you can repeat the same module every day for a week once every five years to get it, I certainly wouldn’t fancy its chances.
Don’t forget when this comes in the Tories will be virtually in the midst of slugging it out with UKIP in a general election and I’m confident I can guess what Nigel Farage’s view on it would be without having to bother asking him.
done 14 hours, another 7 in june but after that i dont know,i really had enough of driving if i can work somewhere on a par with the wages im getting now(which is low) or retrain then im not going to bother with the rest of the modules,
I read in one of the magazines that if the UK pulled out of the European Union that UK drivers would still require proof of having done their DCPC to drive on the continent.
We are in the EU when it suits ! owt important or a disagrement then its bail out…well done if you got it for nowt…dcpc, but there are plenty of blokes that are not on fantasy wages and dont have a lot of spare cash after paying there mortgage -rent bills …kids clothes etc …that few hundred quid wasted while some ■■■■■■ drones on about his self importance and tells you 99.9 percent of wot you know anyway. could mean the difference of your kids getting a holiday …or you a well earned break…its a joke its a tax nothing else…
Company pays for it and its an easy day sitting on your arse instead of punching up the road, we have a bit of a laugh and drink gallons of coffee.
Haven’t learned a bloody thing thats useful but then it never was about proper worthwhile training, just another little money spinner.
I wonder what the real hauliers will do for lorry drivers when many of the old school drop out next year, soon enough one of the big logistics operators has got to see the light and start to mop up the remaining best with some tempting terms and conditions…will this idiotic CPC give the industry the kick up the arse it needs?
Got my card earlier than I expected, Tesco where kind enough to pay for 21 hours and Nobbys paid the rest. All in their time and not in mine.
What a load of cack though.
