Well done children. You are the reason this site is going down the swannie.
Yous two make me want to puke.there should be a zero drink rule except for any naturaly occuring levels.dont try and defend it.oohh and report me all you want but for what telling the truth your a proven prat who was done for drink driving, doyou honestly believe you should be driving full stop.granted you paid your dues but you think your the victim for being banned

In your opinion, there should be a zero drink rule.
That’s fair enough, you’re entitled to your opinion.
You are however, one of a small but vocal minority.
There isn’t a zero drink rule, there is a limitied drink rule.
Go over the limit and drive, wave goodbye to your licence.
Just because you disagree with the law doesn’t give you the right to castigate those who do. The law says that those of us who wish to have a drink CAN have a drink, provided we are sensible about it. I like to relax after a long day with a beer. I expect I’ll have another long day tomorrow, followed with another beer or two while I’m relaxing. If you don’t like that, tough. The law says I can.
If you want to drink lemonade, or whatever, carry on. I don’t mind.
Tell me I shouldn’t have a beer or two because in your opinion I shouldn’t. I’ll tell you to shove your opinion where the sun doesn’t shine.

Where has he claimed to be a victim?
There seem to be a few of you who havent read the posts…
I stand corrected.simon your a prat aswell now
I’ll declare in advance that I’m a prat, to save some the trouble…
He was SIXTEEN and caught the morning after with 45mg (10 over legal limit). No one was hurt. He isn’t playing the victim but desperately trying to find work 10 years later having got his cat C in the meantime.
Most people did something stupid when they 16 - isn’t how you come out the other side what matters? You are either an invincible self righteous cocky idiot or you learn from it. It seems obvious to me which applies to bloke in question, but being a prat I’m sure I’m wrong.
If someone has learned from this particular mistake then they are probably the least likely person on the planet to drink and drive (the morning after) again.
From my conversations with young people (charity work) I know that sadly many young men drink and drive at least once. Some find the lack of control and judgement terrifying and learn from it. Some don’t. I’d prefer it that the first group later become truckers.

Can you explain why I’m a prat ?
Is it because I like to relax with a beer or two ?
If so, how does that make me a prat ?
I am legally old enough to drink.
I won’t be over the drink/drive limit when I go to bed, let alone 7 to 11 hours later when I’m ready to start work again.
I won’t be hung over or otherwise impaired either.
So what, in your opinion, makes me a prat, other than that I disagree with you ?
In fact, just kiss my arse !
This is better than watching the soaps with the wife
Just for the record I’m on the side of the OP, you make mistakes, pay the price, carry on!
hello mate,
Don’t listen to the fools that think there perfect and never done anything wrong for all you no they might crim record as long as your arm but yours is written on your licence. ( not saying they have but might have).
I passed mine 3 years ago with only 4 years of my DD I also got caught the next day and was over the limit and anyone that says they have never driven over the limit are kidding themselves if they like a drink. ( Tee Totals Accepted )
But anyway I been full artic employment since I passed my test, and the jobs I have been for I have got iam now a full time tramper and loving it keep going m8, try and try you will find someone but look to small companies…
Good Luck Pal.
Nearly There !!! Are you sure your nearly there cause you got issues I want to come and live on your cloud cause real life is real life and accidents happen.

FYI, your post was NOT deleted, a Moderator simply moved it out of sight.
There are two reasons for this:
1.) It contained a personal attack. (Rule #3)
2.) It ALSO contained an auto censor dodge. (Rule #3)
If you were to read the forum rules, it might help you to post within those rules which BTW you have already agreed to by the fact that you’re posting.
Forum Rules:
Forum rules and sanction system - WEBSITE INFORMATION - Trucknet UK
The forum rules also contain an explanation of how breaches of the rules might affect a poster’s posting abilities.
Thanks dave
The fascists are out and about with nothing better to do
At least dave explains why it was moved.simon just pms dont repost but it still stands the same, disagree with a mod and they bully and move posts.yous should wear black shirts

You are an idealist not a realist…
Your argument falls down on the ‘naturally occurring levels’.
What are these? Is everyone the same (different weights, height, fitness levels and whether male or female?)
And, if it was possible to establish a set ‘natural’ level (and I doubt very much it is) - wouldn’t that then be the new drink driving limit?
Maybe so but the limit should be lowerd.look im no a booze bag,i dont need to drink at night to relax.if you need 6 beers a night to unwind maybe your in the wrong job
Is insurance the problem?
Should do what some of the high horses in this thread do and never do anything wrong, that way you wouldn’t need it.
The government/media has done a great job in turning a reasonable set of rules in to something which berates and castigates the purps to the point that they shouldn’t work over 10 years later. Ridiculous.
Morning after offence, ten years ago.
That is not the same as getting sloshed and driving in to a bus shelter full of schoolchildren and you’re dumb if you can’t tell the difference.

Hi Yes the insurance is the problem apparently although i have a letter off the minister for transport 3 years ago who says that after 5 years it should not affect my employment and that it is only on my my licence so that the courts can check for re offenders. He did continue to say that it should not affect my ability to be employed. Although this is not true.
