Was it a white TM from Devizes, by any chance? I think they had a pair of them… They also had a four wheeler TM with a loooonngg wheelbase and a crap lock - that was fun!

Yes, you got it. They did have a fleet of them at the time. I only did the Class One :grimacing:

PM sent, Its top secret information who I drive for. :grimacing: Ok, thats BS really

Passed cat C first time
C+E second time

I passed the car test first time then when I did the HGV test I went straight for class 1 and passed first time.

I sailed through the car test and received some good comments from the examiner after the test but I think I just scrapped through the HGV test.

Passed car test 1st time, think it is was a fairly good test but a long time ago.

Passed (scraped) class 2 1st time but I was a bit shaky and had a fair few minors

Passed class 1 1st time too, much better test. I’d even say that it was a pretty decent effort.

What year was that?

I only did the Class 3 and then the Class 1 because I was on the Young Drivers Scheme at the time…

'82 for the Class 3 and '84 for Class 1. A really nice chap called Ray was the boss man… Our instructor was a good laugh but scary at the same time - he was ex-army I believe and if we crossed hands on the wheel he would rap our knuckles with a short stick he carried! Funnily enough, we learnt not too, VERY quickly…

2 artics and 1 rigid at the time. Gutless rubbish but a good truck to learn on…
