But Rob, the other providers have done just that, put their money in without knowing wether they will get a return or not. Yes some are established training companies, but also some are one man bands who are trying to make a living.
But the difference is they’re charging ridiculous monies so recouping the set-up costs in a non-issue.
Rob K:
As it is guaranteed that you’ll be reading this thread Barrie, why don’t you come here and post your breakdown of costs post here so that those that are questioning them can see your train of thought? Also as you are wanting a minimum number of drivers in order for it to happen, it is in your interests to have a presence on other trucker forums . It’s alright Rikki saying that discussion should be kept on your site, but seeing as half of the TN members are banned on your site for various reasons, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to allow cross posting on this occasion.
Barrie is not a member of this site so can’t post! But I’m sure he is reading these threads!

Well! I’ve replied to 2 known trainers on here who show some serious arrogance towards the Dcpc!
If this is potrayed in the courses! Then they should be at a loss!
After all it’s not rocket science is it! Anyone could set themselves up as a Dcpc trainer!
Being fairly new to this site can someone point me in the right direction as to where i can get more information (i not sure what the other site is) also does anyone know where this course may be held in the country.

I’m not sure I’m permitted to inform you as it may be termed “Blatant” advertising on here!
But you have a PM!

Thanks Dessy…
I don’t use PM much on here so hope you got it mate!

I’ve thought about it but it seems too much like hard work.
Your just too comfortable in your high flying gig Coffee!
Start a new gig tomorrow, change is as good as a rest and it never pays to get too comfortable.
What? Want away or forced? Same firm though I assume! Good Luck with it Coffee!
My choice, I have found something where I have to do even less to earn my money. This one I will be only driving about 20 hour a week and only doing Monday to Friday. Happy days, or in this case happy nights.
The Sarge:
Rikki wants it kept to the TW site, so that’s where it should be kept. I have already said that I would pay £100 plus upload fee, seems a good price to me. If somebody makes a profit - I don’t care! I’ve saved money
Could that be because of the sponsorship The Big Train give the hierarchy?
I presume the adverts are still there, I don’t get any popups on this site.
burnie1:
You will never get decent training for this price.
Decent training or not if it gets us our ticket then that will do, the majority of us would not give a toss if it was a case of send money receive dcpc ticket without stepping inside a classroom ( instead having to miss out on pay for those days wasted in a classroom ) the drivers CPC is a farce and an extra tax that’s all it is ,so if someone can help us keep more of our money then that is a good thing ,
I for one would sooner not even do it, but if i have to and i’m footing the bill it will be the cheapest that i can find brown envelopes inc
I have checked around some training schools and they are dear, as for bazmans training it seems he is getting experienced people to do any training you want/need, i am in for that one even though i will still protest at the impsition of this tax, perhaps some people should read the story of the kings new clothes it is very apt.
Going to buy me a truck or five , stick it on someone elses “O” licence (a dodgy mate)
I can park it in a dead end lane I know… so no operating centre costs
Going to pay the driver cash in hand so no NIC or Tax to worry about - or holiday pay, maternity pay, sick pay.
Not going to bother with Public liability insurance
Going to run the company of a mobile phone so no business rates to pay no office bills or staff
Obviously I am not going to declare the income so no accountants fees each year to do my tax returns
Not going to spend any money on the truck so no paying out for spares or kit.
Wont need to advertise as theres plenty of companies that will give me work (that pay the above overheads) and while I am on their customers sites I can tout for their work
And a multitude of other expenses that genuine companies have that I can avoid
Not going to be worried that I give a crap service cos theres enough mug punters out there that want stuff moving as cheap as possible so after I have ■■■■■■ off one lot will move onto another -
In your area pinching your customers
once I have made enough cash out of that going to move on and do the same with the DCPC… dammit someones beat me to it. The only genius in the plan in this thread is that the guy running it gets the money upfront, saves paying out of their own pocket
You’ll be in good company then! Loads of firms out there doing that!
The difference being under the Dcpc! Anyone can set up to be a Trainer! To run a haulage firm to make a living takes a bit of know how! Yes! Even a cowboy outfit!
