Im sorrry guys, But some of you may have missed the point. As I see it, they are not exactly doing much harm. To the locals they are bad news but they have taken a hostile line, and in the Laws eyes they have just cause, especially as they went for retro planning application. However they are all in one place. Im sure that they would work with the community if they did get to stay, we have had the same in our village in Worcestershire, about 7 years ago. Also, by having them evicted, you will spread them, which means your spreading any crime that they will inevitable carry out - with more anger at society. That means Diesel thefts, Fly Tipping, down right conning for sub standard work, Workshop Thefts. Now think. What do they want out of life?? I would think they would like a place they call their own - after all isnt what we all aspire to? and in addition to that, they would not have developed the site to the extent that they have. Ok yes they did things in the wrong order, but surely Eviction is a far worse prospect to all concerned.

Yes about 95% of the population would like a place of their own thats why they have spent a lifetime of working their testicles off so they don’t have to steal, con and upset the rest of the community by abiding by the laws of the land.

i dont think you understand, these are property developers. they move onto a site, get planning, then sell the plots on before doing it again. they have been doing it for years

But that has been going on for years all over Europe. The ones that trundle about with the tarmac convoys are mostly staffed by unpaid workers. There was an advert on trucknet a few years ago for a driver based in S of France. My mate lived in Swiss & drove his car down to the location. It was a nice French holiday park with wooden chalets full of Irish ■■■■■■. To cut the story short his co-workers were Brits with drug or booze probs. He realized he wouldn’t get paid & hi-tailed it back to Swiss. Lucky Esc!

Whilst I’m going to nail my colours firmly to the anti mast about them and their kind, curiously depite having been delivering all round the Essex area for about 14 years, I wasn’t 100% sure as to where Dale Farm actually was. Until very recently I thought it was about 1/2 mile from where it actually stands.
I have no desire to go there, past it or any nearer than the A127 but for all else it well tucked away. Just a shame the residents know their way to and fro.
I had to find it with a mega-cube. When I was still on the main road a transit flagged me down & gave me directions. The trailer was from Czecho & the chief honcho that was running the show told me that sometimes they have to send a search party out for the Czech drivers who get lost for days trying to find the place.

Alternative could be the Goodwin Sands, swept clear by the tide twice a day, they would only nick the anthrax spores on Gruinard.
Maplin Sands would be nearer and has the added bonus of being a firing range from Foulness.

During moments of charity I have tried to understand why ‘…Irish Travellers…’ are demonstrably unwilling to permanently ‘…Travel Ireland…’ as any self-respecting Caravan Utilising Nomadic Traveller loyal to his bemusing roots perhaps ought. I thought that they could possibly demonstrate their loveliness by creating a tourist earner to better financially help Dublin out of its very expensive international pickle?
But it’s clearly my loss because I still didn’t get it…
So at a loss, it seems that I’m due some anti-bigot counselling as to why their ‘got-any-diesel’, ‘on-me-loife’ and ‘bejesus’ pantomime truly makes my ■■■■ pout when lots of grey, English folk - when nudged beyond the gagging phenomenon that Political Correctness has brought upon us, are seemingly scared of and otherwise loathe them, but so it goes
