You know when you were saying that the whole thing was a ruse for China to steal our toilet rolls, that they were loading them into containers straight from the RDCs while our shelves were empty?
Bog roll food anything they want.The shelves are still bare regarding loads of stuff no panic buying.Plenty of people saying the same as me from US to Australia.
Seems to be a lot of people keen to jump to China’s defence for some reason.

The problem with that theory is that there is no real evidence of immunity and clearance when caught but there is evidence of reinfections.
The recovery v case/deaths figures also say no chance.
While cytokine storm, which is one of the main ways in which it kills, among others, aren’t specifically age or health related.Which is probably why the US Pacific fleet has been disabled by it and forced into port.
That’s also why they closed the pubs and as much as I keep looking they still aren’t open again yet.

We’re talking about the type of bats that have bat wings and fly.

It’s all a bit odd really. The chances of dying from it are small unless you are elderly and/or have pre existing conditions. So if it was a tool to kill us all, it ain’t a very good one… Politically anyone dying that can be even half heartedly pinned in the government isn’t good for said government… So they have to be seen to protect the vulnerable, hence the current situation.
Latest figures show many more folk have died from flu and pneumonia than Covid this year. Around three times as many.
91% of Covid deaths (and in some cases the person may well not have died from Covid but was infected by it) have been folk with three or more serious health issues. Over half the deaths have been folk over 80! Since when can anyone expect to live much beyond 80? A consequence of lots of folk living longer is a larger population suffering from dementia etc which is an horrendous affliction. But is swept under the carpet as it doesn’t hold the headlines like a mad virus does.
This situation needs careful managing. But shutting the country down for months on end whilst keeping the populous in the dark by claiming they will ‘react to the science’ doesn’t wash.
If they’d reacted to the science, we wouldn’t be on this position.

It is a deadly virus which many people survive, but a proportion need copious amounts of oxygen and possibly intensive care and ventilation in order to do this. I don’t think the government could have been any clearer that what can’t be allowed to happen is for people to get the virus and not get treatment that could save them.
However, if you are looking for a true picture of recoveries, the known positive tests and known recoveries of course doesn’t give a true picture. If you can’t see that then you need to think about it a bit more.

The known positives and known recoveries does give a true picture if you’ve underestimated how many untested haven’t actually caught it yet.Unless proven otherwise the recovery rate for this, v new cases and deaths, is abysmal and they know it.
13 % deaths of those who’ve tested positive does mean around 10% + death rate if many/most of those who haven’t experienced symptoms and therefore haven’t been tested haven’t actually caught it ( YET ).
In which case you’re betting the farm on many having already caught it with only mild symptoms and all recovered without even knowing it.
As opposed to most untested also being so far uninfected.If so known cases obviously tested/known deaths/known recoveries are a representative figure.Good luck with getting 60% of the population infected, recovered and immune if that rate is representative.

Logically therefore ‘any’ type of release of it at this point will return to an exponential steepening of the trajectory again.The idea of a partial release will still mean a return to a steeper trajectory albeit at a lesser exponential increase than a total release.

In the film Contagion, Matt Damon’s character was immune. Plenty people could be naturally immune. Not sure Harry and his hand cannon have got much to do with anything.
