Then lock everyone down so you can get all kinds of infrastructure both physical and political - in place

There are the following groups of people now:
Those who were working before, want to work, keen to carry on working, or get back to work at the earliest opportunity
Those who are not that bothered to step down now, providing their pension income is in place (small group this one…)
Those who would love to stay on the gravy train - but have now been kicked off it, never to return
Those who already have a private income - now threatened by the falls in the stock market
Those who’ve been left behind around 20-30 years now - who have an opportunity to build something new up from scratch - probably the largest group, albeit not by much… Perhaps the 52%?
Ask yourself this question: Would you rather things go back to the way they were in November last year - or shall we press on and see what is around the next corner now?
All this “Feed the Nation” thing - will end up being “Ongoingly”, booted under the bus the moment this “Crisis” is over.

Mistakes have been made by this Gov, and it is very fair to assume any Gov would make mistakes. Greater or lesser, we can’t tell. I haven’t commented adversely to the greater part of the financial offerings, but did comment in another thread, questioning the validity of resigning us to planned herd immunity, at such an early stage.
Would anyone else have done better? Doubtful. He seems to be doing the right thing by listening to experts and Civl Servants. Good job he isn’t taking the attitude shown by Gove so recently.

There are degrees of lying… If one tells 10% of all facts which happen to be 100% true in what is said - then you’ve still evaded 90% of the truth, which could easily be considered WORSE than telling 50/50 Lies and Truth like Trump does, where at least some iffy subject matter is brought up and then discussed as a consequence of say, “Trump’s indescretions”…

Remind us why would they want to create a ‘premise’ of ‘quarantine’ regarding something that everyone supposedly creates natural immunity to on exposure, with a few exceptions.Like in the case of Measles before the days of vaccination when it was something we all got with a few complications and casualties.
