Does any one remember CLS from Scunthorpe,they bought out a company in Peterborough called someone and Batty,dark blue ERF’s used to haul bricks and combine harvesters,can you remember the full name of the Peterborough firm?

Weren’t Sellers and Batty AEC agents in the Scunthorpe area?
I remember trying to keep up with the CLS tanker division - Tanker Hire.They had F88s and I had a Mandator,running methanol from Bitmac Scunthorpe to Shell North Sea Gas plant at Bacton,south of Cromer in the 60s and 70s.No chance of catching them,although I could get past ICI’s own Mandators on the same job,they were never in a hurry.
Thanks to all,yes it was Sellers and Batty,bloody aweful motors,falling to pieces,I had a bit of rope from drivers door to passengers door holding them in position,the things we used to put up with,would’nt do it today!
