Understandable, well by me anyway, can’t you use this in mitigation somewhere along the line, say if you have proof of a hospital appointment at the time of the offence?
Not saying you should be let off but given a bit of slack when it comes to the penalty.
And while I’m about it, just how many top ranking plod have been nicked for DD and/or speeding - way too many.
