Thatās why they used to make them wear chains round their ankles when they were āat workā in the fields.It wasānt to stop them from running away it was to stop them from getting everyone else.

I used to drive for Carryfast in Dewsbury before they sold out to UPS. If i remember right Carryfast was the parcel side Green & White lorrys, Haulfast was the contracts & haulage side Blue & White lorrys. Martin Oldroyd only sold Carryfast to UPS at first it wasnt until a good few years later they bought Haulfast if memory serves me well! My dad worked there for nearly 20years on both sides i only did a few. If anyone remembers my dad āChilloā or Pete Chilcott was his name.

You could probably be right there but in there last years im sure they were Green & White, ive got an old tie they tried to get me to wear and its definitely Green and the last truck i drove there Carryfast was in Green im sure. Could be wrong tho!!

If he thinks heās wound you up he will delight in giving you more verbage! The secret is to give him it back double,it does work because he disappears for a while,but this maybe that his rantings have once again upset Matron at his secure accomodation so she has given him a double dose of medication and put him back in the ārubber roomā! No doubt if he is allowed to read this post he will come storming back with another load of incoherant ranting,then heāll be restrained again for a while!! Cheers Bewick.

They did change the livery to white and green shortly before the firm was sold to UPS.I can remember Kelly.He was well known for his āgood natured temperā (not ) if you upset him.
