This has the makings similar to one of those Flu epidemics only this one will be ten times worse and theres no known antidote for the āirritationā unless,of course, the mods take the ānuclearā option and permantly get rid of the virus!!! Bewick.

Think Droitwich closed down and moved to Nuneaton before the 95 was even introduced on the market .

yes, there was a depot at Droitwich, when NK shut down we were running Daf 2500ās.
I worked for Carryfast from '85 in North Kilworth then moved to their depot in Nuneaton ( I lived in Nuneaton at that time).
Do you remember Kevin Preston, Steve Clarke, Andy Searguant(spelling) &/or Ian Morrisey ā ā

Probably saw the Feltham lot going in the opposite direction to you.Feltham-Dewsbury via Kilworth was hard work with a 2500.Much better when they got the 2800 ATIās after they saw that a 2800 could do the job better.
Before it was called carryfast i think it was Harrisons of Dewsbury.

before the Dafs,we were running ERFs and Sed-Atkiās with 180 Gardners,so the 2500s were like Rolls Royces! love to know if my Sed-Atki survived,YRP 64S,presumably cut-up long ago though.

Feltham had one of the old Gardner powered ERFās used as a yard shunter. That was just about all it was good for although the gas axe would have been a better end for it to put it out of itās misery .

Think it might have been that one which was based at Feltham.
If it is it that one it ended itās days there with a knackered cooked engine on the M25.

Itās more likely that heāll be another one whoās upset Bewick saying that a 2500 was better than a ERF with a 180 Gardner in it.
But just shows that you had to be very lucky,or doing a lot more miles in a shift than a Gardner powered ERF could manage ,to be given a 2800 and a 2500 didānt seem like a Rolls to me doing a 400 mile run from Feltham to Dewsbury and back
