Spot on! My first career was as a boy too - did it for donkey’s years: free board and lodging but almost no salary (that’s where the paper round came in handy!).
I was a teacher / then head-teacher before I ran off on the lorries.
After a decade or so, I returned to head-teaching, but overseas.
Now retired which basically means I’m a boy again but I have to look after myself and dress up to look old so that they’ll let me in the pub. Robert

Left school and joined the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineer Mechanic, pushed up to leading engineering technician and did the RN commando course…you know, for kicks!
After the RN I went to a chemical company as a Production and Development technician.
Now I’m 5 years a class 1 driver and currently in Norwich (born in Hartlepool, brought up in Both Hartlepool and Billingham) driving a bulk cement tanker.
Still looking for that perfect job!
