Can you help please i'm stuck in spain

As said I smell a rat a big dirty black rat.why would repo men chase a 7.5t all the way to Spain? Would understand if it was a new unit and trailer loaded with goodies worth big bucks.
Repo men? Sure it wasnt the law who stopped him? And confiscated his truck and “hidden stash”? If he got caught and the law let him go maybe thats why he has “no money”.
And no I wouldnt give a stranger a lift over borders its too risky and easy for the lift to say “its not my drugs officer im only hitchhiking home”.

Think perhaps milkchurns meant to say “hasn’t” rather than has.

I lived in Spain for a while. Borrowed a friends car and drove it for months until the day the lovely Guardia stopped me and confiscated the car because I wasn’t carrying the insurance document. Had to get a cab home, luckily not to Scotland, just along the coast a bit.

So, OP, I’m still in. I don’t yet believe you’re a scammer. Please, for the sake of the TNCSI, prove me wrong.

come on scammer tell us your back in scotland? lol

Doubt it

Trampyjoe,if you lived there, you know their law,so why no insurance in the car and wonder why the plod nick you for it. ?How much was the fine.?

I believe a vehicle can be repossessed in Spain as I remember a couple of years ago watching a Brits Abroad type program featuring a repro man working with the Spanish Police repossessing UK plated cars at a road block.

Was a simple case of not checking the documents were in the car (my own fault and not surprisingly one of the only times I hadn’t done it) and getting pulled over late at night at a regular Guardia checkpoint. Don’t remember now how much the fine was, something like 50euros plus fees I think.

Loads of brits in the costas driving round in old british registered heaos of scrap no tax MOT etc.
Usualy ones sitting in an awful bar with pictures of big ben and stars of eastenders reading the daily mail bemoaning the foreigners in blighty taking the ■■■■ iut of the system and moaning the dont even learn English.!!!

I must admit that it does sound like a scam but what I dont understand is, assuming it is a scam, what the OP wants to achieve. There is no way that I would let somebody come back into my cab…sorry!!

How times have changed. Guess most of you would drive on past a fellow Brit broken down at the side of the road abroad.

Ah but the op isn’t a fellow Brit broken down at the side of the road is he? He/ she is just another faceless username over a wireless medium. Do you send money to help the rightful heir to Nigeria reclaim his hereditary throne? If not, why not?

Sometimes we have to make our own decisions and mistakes. I suggest you bear that in mind Driveroneuk next time you are pulling over to pick up the hitchhiker wearing a striped top, mask and carring a large sack marked “SWAG”.
