Well I for one am shocked at some of the distinctly unchristian attitudes displayed on this forum! The guy is a fellow trucker reaching out in his hour of need. I don’t know how some of you sleep.
Dwb2409 your plight has played on my mind for most of the day so I rang a friend who actually is a resident of Alicante and Tangiers and he tells me that he was due to drive back to the UK this week to deliver some err washing powder? Yeah that’ll do, washing powder. Anyway he says that if you’re prepared to drive over to Manchester and deliver his bags of washing powder then he’ll happily let you keep the car afterwards for your onward journey.
How nice is he?
I’m sat here laughing out loud and the missus is like ‘what you laughing at?’ I couldn’t put it into words
hate to say it but if i was stuck in spain like that, and managed to get back my first port of call would be the axxxxxe who put me in that position and it would not be a pleasant visit,i am not normally a violent person but to put me in such a stressfull position would result in my ex boss getting a smack, good luck in getting back

Your right next to alicante. Ryanair flight Friday back to Glasgow 109 euro return. I assume it’s cheaper one way, I didn’t check. 20 euro in a taxi will get you to the airport and you’d be back in Scotland for a 100 sterling. And home in a couple of hours. I think your a chancer fella

But that’s the thing, in all honesty, how could you end up in that situation in the first place? It’s not 1972. Even if the truck was taken, which I don’t believe for a second, you’d be on home soil within 24 hours. Who can’t scrounge 100 pound for a flight? You don’t even need the cash now, someone at home book it on a credit card and away you go. If all you had was your phone and passport you could make it.
You’d look well getting a tug in Calais with this fella on board. I used to hate taking one of the other lads trucks for trips in case anything in the cab and I knew them. No way would I carry a stranger back

I’m sure Rikki is able to get the IP address of the terminal the OP signed up from / posted from.
A quick search of that IP address on Google will tell you which country, which province of that country and which ISP the user is logged on (my money is on it not being anywhere near Spain)
How are you accessing the Internet ? By mobile phone ? Internet cafe ? Where are you currantly waiting/ staying at the moment ? You say your famerly are in Scotland, how come thay can’t help ? If you can’t reach them then why not ?
If the op has no cash or a credit cards, then he should contact the british embassy , they will help certainly in contacting a family member in the uk .they may even lend him the money for a flight back to the uk , but why they are sat around apparently doing nothing apart from asking here for a lift, which i think you will be very lucky to get a lift back to blighty,
As for the IP being Spanish, this could be a vpn or proxy, or just spoofed , an IP doesn’t account for much
I still find it difficult to believe that a repo man would chase a vehicle outside the UK,
I would really like to know the ‘‘real’’ story here as there are so many inconsistencies and questions about this post.If this is a troll or a con then this needs to be addressed by the mods, both to avoid this happening in the future, and in the event of someone in genuine trouble that they are not neglected or ignored.
The op needs to come back and clarify things. If is has been stated, the vehicle was repossed in Spain without prior knowledge then one assumes the OP had sufficient funds for diesel, tolls, food etc for a round trip, but now needs a lift yet has funds to internet, and one assumes stay in a hotel and eat.Strange.
Quite apart from all the other inconsistencies, the fact that he’s said all his family are pensioners except him is weird. OP (whatever your name is), here’s a tip: successful scamming usually depends upon the scammer being more intelligent than those he is attempting to scam.
I must be soft as grease me, I read his story and felt sorry for him and how they if I could I would help him, then I read everyone elses comments and see its dodgy.

This seems the best course of action. I got the eurostar from london changed in paris on to a overnight sleeper to barcalona a couple of years back was less thsn 100 quid.
This ^^^^^^^
Worse case, if you don`t have cash/plastic phone/email a friend or relative, and get them to book a flight online & pay them back later, getting home asap is paramount. sitting on your ■■■ looking at options is just pointless
Just phone Embassy. They get you Home.
If out of Cash go to next Police or Council. They let you phone for free to Embassy
I think is bollox and wouldnt let them take it without guardia civil being there and sYing so no matter how nasty they are a kick in the nuts and a cab bar comes in very handy
I did use to see a bloke on santander crossing reguler couple years back
He was a repo man and use to go down and repo cars from spain
Where uk expats bought them in uk moved to spain and bumped the hp
