If the Royal Navy upped the free ferry service currently operating between Libya and Italy, and as a return load took industrial hard working Europeans back, once the populations had swapped in 30 years time Western Europe would be a third world crap hole filled with rubbish corruption and tribal slaughter with the begging bowl still out whilst the vacated dumps would be industrialised and an economic powerhouse.

Immigrants/expats,tomatoe/tomato its all relative. Of course they are. But to claim benefits in Spain you need to have first made contributions in to their system for a minimum of 6 months. And to get a pension you need to have contributed for at least 15 years. You cant just rock up,say “asilo” and start getting payments. And since many MANY of the expats take with them huge pension pots they earned over decades of working in the UK,I fail to see just how this comparison is valid on a like for like basis.
Add to that that all of them have applied for visas,filled in the proper parerwork to register etc BEFORE going over there rather than stowaway inside a trailer,■■■■■■■ and ■■■■■■■■ all over the food stuffs people are expected to eat, and you comparisons get more and more ridiculous
