Luke.Maybe it would be a nice gesture if you took CF with you for a few trips ,you could complement each other and together create the ‘‘perfect driver’’.

Ah, so living in Carryfast fantasy land again then. For someone who’s clearly never shipped Dover Calais you sure do have a lot of opinions about it

For someone who’d obviously like to think that you know more about my travel history than I do you’ve excelled yourself with that bs.So I’m guessing that you’re not stuck in the latest round of organised chaos.Obviously caused by the fact that the ferry routes don’t have the capacity to take re routed tunnel traffic without turning the M20 into a truck park. :unamused:

Here ya go CF, just for you as for once you didn’t know where to look on the internet for info …

Ha, I’m not that interested in your travel history. I just find it comical that a few holidays seems to make you think you are an expert on international transport and the European ferry business! And no, I’m not, I’m no longer a driver. I’m now a transport manager. So have been at the other end of recent events. I did offer you a job as my assistant earlier . I’d even pretend you were my superior when your mother came to the office…

I’d prefer Switchfast! You could start all your posts with “ironically…”

That’s an idea I’ll buy GNV’s fleet then call the new line switchfast because they’ll be able to dock anywhere when Calais inevitably either goes on strike or gets over run by Taliban or both. :smiling_imp:

Got a mate texting me at the minute. I’ll not repeat what he’s saying due to this forums stance on racism  , but suffice to say that after two hours stuck on the French side of the tunnel and having just been told there’s going to be another delay of an hour he’s not best pleased or particularly sympathetic to our ethnic brethren.

Carryfast did a funny! That was funny! To be fair I’ve always liked the fact you never seem to take anything personally, unlike many of the over opinionated muppets I’ve crossed swords with on here.

I know what he means it took me 4.5 hours to get from M20 junction 11 to the train, at least I didn’t have people trying to get in my vehicle, trucks queued down the road in Calais and loads of truck spotters walking around not even trying to stay hidden. I did see some police, but I doubt they could do a lot.
I’ve lost any sympathy or even feelings of humanity towards the illegals, the situation is mad when they can bring the system to a halt and then have a field say trying to get onto trucks.

Is it just me, or do a lot of the problems at Calais stem from the French police’s lack of ability (or more likely interest) to enforce law & order?

What the hell are people doing being able to trespass on the tunnel tracks so frequently? Migrants on there in force this week, last week the protesters were on there lighting fires. Clearly security is lacking. Then of course we have all these people roaming the highways, sometimes armed, intimidating innocent travellers with their behaviour.

Time for the UK to deploy some assistance?

The army doesn’t have a lot to do at the moment - this would be good training for them.

There’s plenty for them to be doing, if our glorious leaders would let them do it. Keen enough to start this whole bloody fiasco when they outed Sadam, and look what then happened there. Then they had to get shot of Gaddafi and once again, more strife ! Better the devil you know etc …

France is probably at a turning point in using the situation to make the point this is what the EU and Hollande has turned the place into. Now the choice is yours to either vote for Le Pen or put up with more of the same.I’d guess that every immigrant causing aggravation in Calais is just adding to the potential FN vote while destroying Hollande’s and the Socialists and/or Sarkozy’s UMP.So logically it’s in the FN’s interests to let the situation carry on.While Hollande and/or Sarkozy are obviously in an ideological catch 22 situation which will hopefully set France on the road to a Nationalist administration having ditched the Socialists and/or the pro EU UMP. :bulb:

What the bloody hell has that do do with a load of illegals causing hell while tryin to get here ■■?

Simply the fact that Hollande’s Socialist pro EU administration won’t allow what Le Pen’s would in rounding them up at gun point if needed and then deporting them back to North Africa and/or Asia. :bulb:

So why couldn’t you just say so ■■

The question was why aren’t the French police/military doing something. When as I said the obvious answer is ‘if’ you want us to do something then we’ll first need a vote for a government which will allow us to do it.It’s not rocket science. :bulb:

No surprise which side the Brit government would then be on if/when push comes to shove between an FN administration deportation programme and the pro immigration EU and UK administrations. :unamused:

Ok, so why the need for all this drivel :-

That’s not drivel that’s a reasonable description of the reasoning of the French security forces. That is entirely consistent with the idea if you want us to sort it then we’ll first need to get an FN government into power and the more aggravation that us standing by results in the more chance we’ve got of getting that government. While as long as we’ve got a pro EU pro immigration Socialist or UMP administration then our hands are tied. :bulb:
