have a few brs pic’s but dont know what depot.will put them on next week.

You know what strikes me most about this outfit? Being born in the mid 60’s I never experienced the real ‘post war’ Britain, but BRS existed because the Labour Government elected in 1945 pledged amongst other things to nationalise the road haulage industry, which it did in 1948, thus creating BRS.

I know that needs must and so on, but can you imagine that happening now? (well actually maybe I can!!!)

Do any of the old timers have any memories of the nationalisation and what it meant at the time?
