Brexit Deal AGREED!

The-Snowman:
The fact that Saint Nicola and the SNP have been waiting on a deal just so they could pick fault with it yet spent all day yesterday prattling on about seed potatoes (something 90% of the population didnt know were a thing until yesterday morning) tells me its probably not that bad a deal after all

It tells us more about the ignorance of 90% of the population with regards to how their food magically appears in the shop. :grimacing:

I voted remain but have accepted that leave won the referendum that was reinforced by the torys winning by a country mile the election ( though even though I voted remain in the referendum I voted Tory in the recent election , couldn’t stomach Emily thorn berry etc) , I will just Give it 5 yrs to let leaving settle , see how it effects me & family then give my thoughts on how brexit works out

the nodding donkey:
It tells us more about the ignorance of 90% of the population with regards to how their food magically appears in the shop. :grimacing:

The key word there is ‘magically’. Stuff just happens, doesn’t it? Nobody cares HOW things are done, they just expect things to BE done. Services (electricity, broadband, fully stocked supermarket shelves} are taken for granted.
We are such a spoilt first-world nation. Covid has been a kind of reality check with non essential businesses closing. Brexit is going to be interesting, but hey, from the 1st of January the NHS is going to be 350 million a week better off. What’s not to like about that? Only a few days to go until we’ve taken back control. The good days are just around the corner, place your trust in the well-oiled precision machine that is the Tory Government. We’re in safe hands.

Nigel Farage?

Are you happy with new rulles

Brexiters, just take a look what kind of deal your “leader” got you from the EU

The wonder it is now going to be rush, rush, to vote on it, approve it, rubber stump it.

Brexit Deal Gives EU Citizens More Rights in UK Than British Citizens

Taking an overview of the brexit deal, otherwise known as the UK EU trade and co-operation agreement, and it is clear that Boris Johnson has given the EU everything that they wanted, as was inevitable if he wanted a deal. It means that many UK based employers would prefer to hire EU workers, over UK workers, because they have more rights and freedoms to travel around Europe now. It is also a deal that gives the EU what it wants on the important trade in goods, and does nothing for the trade in services, which is what’s important to the UK.

Brexit Deal: What Happened to All the Fish?

Whenever brexiteers wanted to stop talking about the facts of brexit, they started talking about fishing. It was their grand stand for talk of sovereignty, and Boris Johnson got in on the act as well. And yet, looking at the details of fishing in the brexit deal, it looks like the UK only gains a very small amount more of the quotas, but still faces higher costs in running fishing businesses. So, if fishing is a net loss as a result of brexit, what was the point?

Johnson Accepts Brexit Deal Not Good Enough for Financial Services

The brexit deal doesn’t help the UK’s competitive services sector, including the financial centre in London. Boris Johnson has admitted that the deal did not match his ambitions in this area. In this video, I’d discuss the way the UK government tried and failed to undercut the EU in services and what it now means for a shrinking sector in the UK.

Blah blah blah. Four years on and the tears still keep coming. We’re leaving, get your head around it. Look at what happened at Manston Airport last week to see how little respect the main eu players have for the “community”.

I think the mods should start a Remoaners Forum for them all on here.
They could have pages and pages of their own Whingefest,.and cry on each others shoulders on ‘What could have been’.

.

Like^^^^^^ :sunglasses:

Come on now, try to come up with some sort of argumentation as to why this deal is the best thing since sliced bread

Beyond petty namecalling and such, remember, you won!

was Going to give it 5 yrs but apparently it’s going to be a bumpy road from the off , so I agree with grieve / / Adonis , absolute disaster , I mean the torys started to sort out immigration from 2016 & apparently 331,000 apx arrived last year , a third more than the previous year , though apparently were now going to take back control of our borders from the end of this week , something they’ve not managed in the previous 4 yrs , or maybe the Plans instead of having Patel shouting at the office staff she can stand at the border telling all the foreigners to ■■■■ off back to where they came from .
Got knows why I chose this lot overt labour , Patel , rabb , gove arnt much of a uplift over steptoe , thorn berry , Abbott

Excellent strategy :unamused: ,. and don’t come back with…‘‘Well he could not have made a worse job of it’’.
Trust me…He WOULD have done. :bulb:
And if you didn’t vote for either or anybody else, you can’t really complain can you?
I ain’t a staunch Tory by any stretch of the imagination mate…but you can only play the best game as you can with the hand you are dealt.

You must be a fan of Rupert Murdoch’s propaganda, cool

How do you “make your own mind up”?
Presumably from information? From facts you have learned somewhere?
If you read the Mail, Express, Sun, listen to Talk Radio, you will hear a biased view of the world.
When you accidently hear a less biased view it will seem extreme or false to you.
If you read a few online articles about Ferraris and TV presenters called Holly, then your browser will send you more of the same. Read about COVID being a hoax or a minor issue and you’ll get more of the same. That’s how we can all end up in echo chambers.
Read articles on Red Top sites, scroll down and there will be links to Euro Sceptic articles. Even if you only read the headlines (especially if you only read the headlines) and you’ll get the editor’s and owner’s view of the world. Only a few lines, but each little bit will enforce the others.

If you (not just Mr RobRoy of course) want to “make your own mind up” think about how your get your facts to do your own thinking.
