Brexit Deal AGREED!

Speaking of ■■■■ whingers, here’s the Mother of them all, and her take on it.

Oh my!
Looking at how happy those who won the Brexit referendum, voted for Johnson, and now have an exit deal (approved by Farage) are, Im personally grateful to be on the "losing side". I honestly couldnt abide the high levels of pleasure and happiness that is so evident in the past few posts. I would simply burst with the sheer joy apparent in these souls` posts.

At risk of having them explode with the surfitt of love and joy in their hearts…
Happy Christmas !

Now just need to hear what’s been agreed

Here’s my wild guess -

“We’ve carried out the wishes of the electorate and we have now left the EU. The deal will see us follow everything the EU dictates, borders will remain the same, nothing will change”

In a nutshell, a great big fat nothing burger.

You didn’t honestly think they were going to let us leave did you? lol.

Who didn’t want to let us leave? The EU?
We were free to leave any time, any day, the question should be why were our so called “leaders” keeping us from leaving for over 4 years?
We were even being pushed to trigger article 50, as our “leaders” were hesitating, as if they didn’t want to start the process of leaving.

msgyorkie:
Awaiting Franglais with his cut and pasting on why the EU is so good for us and why we were all idiots for voting to leave!

we still haven’t properly left, despite finaly getting a proper Brexit government, that was voted in by every Brexiteer in the country and his dog.
Just wait untill the deal agreement has been properly scrutinizer, which probably it won’t be before the vote has to happen before the end of the year.
That’s why the deal was agreed so late , so that all of you Brexiteers won’t have enough time to find out how badly you have been shafted, before the vote in the parliament will need to happen

Johnson said it’s 500 pages on the tv interview this evening - You could tell he was lying , his lips were moving

From 1 January, most UK nationals will lose the right of free movement and British businesses will face significant extra costs in doing business with its biggest export market.

We can still, with a visa work in the EU. You can also visit the EU up to 90 days. You can even believe it or not stay for longer with a visa!
Just a small bit of paperwork and a fee is all you have to do to continue your life in the EUSSR. :unamused: :unamused:

A bit like how it used to work a few years ago!

FFS owen, bore off… :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

You’re joking right?

No, seriously you’re pulling my pudding aren’t you…lol

Okay, I’ll bite

None of the political class (left, centre or right) wanted us to leave. Hell, even the prime minister who gave us the vote was openly against leaving. Theresa May took over and she was openly against leaving but said because the vote happened she’d carry it through.

Boris Johnson was handed a poisoned chalice. Half his party is working against him. The opposition is obviously working against him. The Whitehall mandarins behind the scenes are working against him. The EU is working against him. The press is working against him.

The UK is a net contributor to the EU. One of a handful of countries that actually prop up this pile of garbage. Of course every action they take is to try and punish the UK for wrongthink.

To say nobody outside the EU can trade with it is stupid. China trades on a massive scale with all of europe without being penalised or threatened the way they have to the UK. As an example, France used veiled threats to stop patrolling their own country and borders to allow illegal immigrants in to the UK. I don’t remember France ever threatening to flood China with immigrants if they didn’t agree to a deal.

The EU and our own government are a disgusting group of individuals who have their own interests at heart and have little to no interest in democracy.

I’m sure there were plenty of remainers in Poland when they voted to leave the Soviet bloc as well.

But who is will work there??How many ex Debenham,Arcadia group staff will agree happy work at food production staff or fishman. Most Brits just dream work for shop assistent, army, costomer services only.

We will survive as a country with or without the EU. Businesses will adapt, and quickly where profit is involved (you’ve only got to look at the loopholes/legal gymnastics businesses use to reduce taxes and get around restrictions etc).
We won’t implode or be reduced to a third world basket case country as a result of brexit, ok there may be some upheaval at first but things will sort themselves out over time.
The fact that these talks have dragged on for so long is indicative of how hard it is to disentangle ourselves from the EU, imagine how much harder it would be if this all happened in 10 years time instead when we’ve been sucked further along into the EU superstate, which is after all their ultimate goal.

Congratulations to the negotiators.
Hope the agreement works well for both of us.
Sympathy and assistance for the Dover Detainees
Happy Christmas Comrades

Spent a few minutes scrolling through it and then thought, Christ, it’s Christmas Day, what are you doing? There’s apparently 2000 pages in the full agreement. How’s this supposed to be scrutinised properly before they vote for it on Wednesday?
Not that it matters whether it’s scrutinised or not of course, we have it from Boris himself that it’s a ‘fantastic’ deal and the country will ‘prosper mightily’. We love you Boris, what a leader.

As an alternative to reading the full 2,000 pages just consider the other available option?
That can be summed up in 3 letters: WTO !
No contest.
 Happy Christmas. ,

The fact that Saint Nicola and the SNP have been waiting on a deal just so they could pick fault with it yet spent all day yesterday prattling on about seed potatoes (something 90% of the population didnt know were a thing until yesterday morning) tells me its probably not that bad a deal after all
