I think things have moved on since the last election.

The fact that(here in Bolsover)…we outed Skinner, suggests you’ve work to do.

In the history of MPs, has there ever been anyone more smug and complacent than Skinner?

David steele?

It’s a pity you lot could not …quote; ‘‘move on’’ , from the last referendum. :bulb:
:unamused:

Moving On, I hope that this simulation from Loadstar never comes to pass:

Digital simulation predicts 20-day wait in 70,000-truck queue to Dover

Just for a bit of balance… Brexit: Nissan commits to keep making cars in Sunderland - BBC News Cant be bothered to trawl all the way back but somebody mentioned that car manufacturers where deserting the UK because of Brexit. Well Nissan has other ideas.

Don’t spoil it for them with positivity ffs, they’re on a roll.

Positivity?
Things carrying on as before is being claimed as a victory?
Fantastic news then, I haven’t had a pay cut this year!

The news that things aren’t falling apart at the seams in one area doesn’t mitigate damage in others.
Fantastic news again: I haven’t lost both legs (only the one)!

Come on, you two. Can’t you two find a single good news story about Brexit anywhere? I’m getting a sore typing finger from all of this posting! [emoji3]

PS
Most of the warnings about Nissan etc were concerned with a No Deal Brexit and were based on what Nissan themselves were saying. Not fantasies about new trade deals with unicorns and pots of gold.

Nah, none of us can be arsed, we are just accepting a decision and going with it.
Anyhoo…we know how much you are enjoying yourself.
We prefer to observe your gradual melt down and your wallowing in disappointment routine.

PPS.
I am of course pleased that Nissan are staying. I am pleased those jobs are secure
I still say it was stupid to risk them leaving.

What you actually are content with is politicians blatantly lying in order to get a favourable outcome in a referendum and there being no recourse for such action.

You voted for leave, fair enough, but you shouldn’t accept the fact that Brexit was achieved by lying to many who otherwise wouldn’t have voted leave.

Otherwise lying through their teeth will be the de facto normative of the ruling class even more than it is now and next time it will be you on the receiving end.

Thanks for telling me actually what I think, feel, and accept , but I hope your driving skills are a lot better than your perceived clairvoyancy skills .

I’m assuming your theory on who would or would not vote for whatever are along the same lines, where as I prefer to concentrate on what DID happen, rather than on what COULD have happened.

Just heard an article on the news about this. It must be terrible news to the glass half fullers amongst us. My condolences.

The BBC reported that the Mackems and the Geordies that work there are so thankful to Nissan they’re learning Japanese out of respect .
It was said that workers could be heard shouting Oriental phrases like…
‘‘Hey hinnie hoya hamma howa’’

FYI, the Greek economy grew by 1.9% in 2019, UK grew by 1.5 in the same year, but there was zero growth in the last quarter. So the Greeks are now doing better than us by that measure.

Cool cherry picking. How’s their unemployment rate doing ?

Where do they stand on the Debt to GDP table ?

Crashing out the Euro was the best option for Greece and its people but oh no, can’t have people leaving the Eurozone can we. Instead they faced and still face years of economic enslavement and crippling austerity.

How will the loans be repaid?

While Greece’s economy has stabilised, its accumulated debt pile stands at about 180% of GDP.
Under a deal hammered out with other eurozone states in June, it must keep strict control over its public spending, running a budget surplus, before interest payments, of at least 2.2% of GDP until the year 2060.
With serious questions over its ability to manage, some analysts predict it will still be paying off its current debt after 2060.

Cool cherry picking indeed! How many of the 27 EU economies did you reject before cherry picking the Greek one?
Staggering!

I didn’t mention Greece, GasGas did. I posted a video that referenced our relationship with the EU but it also contained a piece on Greece. GasGas referenced this and I followed him up.

Fair comment. It wasn’t you that first mentioned Greece.

Actually, it was Mr Farage who mentioned Greece as a country that would have to leave the Euro…as would the Irish Republic. Against all the odds, they are both still hanging in there!

In November last year, Mr Farage wrote in the Daily Telegraph that…“In the next few months I predict there will be a reappraisal of Donald Trump’s presidency”…

Well, right so far Mr F.

Then he rather ruined things with this next bit

“While his New York outspokenness never went down well with the British electorate, these negative views may well have to be reappraised.”

I think that’s what teenagers used to call an “epic fail”!

Anyway, at least Brexit saved the UK’s fishing industry…oh, hang on…
