I was shocked the first time I went to Gadbrook. Backed under the canopy and went to that crappy little goods in window. Couldn’t believe it when I asked the girl where the loo was, and was told I cant use it. Ended up having to go to the security lodge for a jimmy.

Co-op Coventry. Was there 3 hours yesterday to tip 6 pallets (not mixed pallets or anything tricky) got put on a bay after about 10 mins.Whilst waiting I partook in a number of coffees and ■■■■, and noticed the same old faces seemed to be continually nipping out.
Anyway, finally got a green light, and went back to goods in for my notes. Well bugger me if the skinny blonde girl that came in with them hadn’t been out for 3 ■■■ breaks (and that was only while I was under the shelter!!!)
So on average, this girl needs a break for every 2 pallets she tips.
Hateful place.
I don’t mind It there. Normally in and out relatively quickly, and as has been said they are very flexible on times.

I deliver it, once it’s off the motor, it’s theirs to deal with.
The only time I get involved with any of the stock is strapping it, and very occasionally, if I’ve got a few drops on, and I get somewhere they’ve got just a couple of pallets on, and they’re halfway down the trailer, I’ll get them to throw a pump truck on and I’ll tip through the back doors.
But that’s only to save me fannying about with the curtains.

I was in and out of co-op Coventry in less than 45 minutes!
In all fairness, last time I went I had half a dozen pallets on, took my keys in, came back to the motor and was on a green light. Good job I decided to have a nose (normally don’t) and I was empty. Went back to the office, and notes and keys were on the counter, don’t think I’ve ever been tipped that quick anywhere. Pulled out of the gate 2 hours before I was due to come in.
So good reading about all these lovely RDC,s. The years I lost off my life waiting for a bay or paperwork. In the day National Coal Board (pits) and any docks were a nightmare. Things never change it would appear. Never mind I,ve retired now and no more will I have to endure all this crap. Drivers of today I lift my hat to you all.
Jesus wept, did Lidl at Weston Super Mare yesterday. How tight are the sodding bays there? I know the guy parked in front of me had parked like a twunt, but all the same, crap even by Lidl standards.
At first I’d just thought I’d lined it up wrong, but then I watched everybody else struggling to more or less the same extent. I even had to get under my barn doors to lift them on the hinges to get them fully open (and neither of the motors either side had their tyres rubbing on the bananas.)
Wincanton bloke to my left needed about 5 shunts to get out AFTER he’d tipped.
I’m going to Croydon tomorrow, got the Whitgift centre. I’ll see if I can do a video.
Croydon is one of the worst places I’ve ever visited in my life.
Used to do my 2 dayer there every week. I imagine Beiruit to be very similar, but with less drunks, and trams
That looks a pig Radar - but you handled it extremely well and judging by the amount of scratches that I noticed on the walls a lot better than some.
It reminds me of the M&S place in Cambridge that I went to for Brakes.
I take it from the way you squeezed your way in and out that it’s a rigid only zone?

Heres the Whitgift centre.

It was fun the first time I went in. Took me over 2 hours to get the drop done. You could try and take an artic in there but rather you than me

Your head was going from side to side so much, I thought you were watching a game of ladies beach volleyball for a minute.[emoji23] [emoji23]

Always in the mirrors. I’m getting another two cameras soon so it should be less vomit inducing.
KOLAK Park Royal, was bad enough before, but now they’ve been messing. Wish they’d just get new premises and start again.
I like going to Great Bear Sheffield, wide bays and masses of space, it’s the most spacious place that I have been to.
I’m there later this week - and after two weeks off, those wide bays might come in handy.

Haven’t been there for a couple of years. What they done now?? It was an arse of a place anyway!

He’s a new driver though Damoq. Ink still wet on his wagon licence so he’ll be going slow like that til he gets used to his little 17 tonner. As you say, no need to even slow down to a crawl like he does if you’re familiar with the place and you can whip an artic round there no problem if you know what you’re doing. Not sure what the camera is all about though - does he had one of those bicycle helmet cams mounted to his head? Must look like a right tool wearing that

They’ve shut the weighbridge entrance, apparently it’s going to be made into a one-way system there. So now you come in off Twyford Abbey Road during the day, or in through the first gate on Elveden Road at evenings and weekends. You now go down the right hand side of the building and enter alongside the furthest loading bay from the office. The fence they’ve had up in the last week or so is already mangled to bits and the retaining wall smeared with vast amounts of paint. If you’ve come in from Elveden Rd, it’s a complete pain to get down there because of the raised sides on the new weighbridge.
Then you go through the rigmarole of getting onto a bay.
Once you’re done you have to bury your unit right into the top right hand corner, and I mean bury it to the point that you’re waiting for a crunch just to clear the Armco with your offside trailer wheels.
I’ve no idea which way round the one way system will be one the works have been done at the original entrance.
Apparently when they measured it all out they used the potato mans trailer to make sure it’d all work in practice, which turns out to be 12.5m.
It’s a proper struggle. I pity any total rookies or nervous folk getting in and out of there.
