Best and worst places?

Lol. That ’ parking area ’ in the corner, is normally full in the day Paul!

BAD. Greenway recycling Telford , anyone who has been there will simpathise I’m sure especially artic drivers .

Everywhere is great :sunglasses:
I self load and self tip and even get to jump ques of wagons :sunglasses:
I get snarled and and looked at with viscous growls when I am instructed to jump the que other drivers, right up until they realise I am delivering forklift trucks, then the mood changes as they see a glimmer of hope they may get tipped quicker with the addition of more flts

Worst - Boots in Nottingham. Tight as f00k bays, no space so you have to jack it in. I really pity the foreigners that have to back in blindside.

Worst

Asda - Doncaster.

My record is 15 mins to side tip. 5 1/2 hours to check the load.

Poundland - Bilston

I don’t think I have ever got into a bay/under the canopy in under 2 hours after the booking time.

Chep - Trafford Park

Ignorant, brain dead staff who just look at you like you have just murdered one of their offspring when you ask how it works at this particular site as you have never been there before in your life.

Lidl - Lutterworth

The goods in desk is staffed by members of the SS as yet undiscovered by Mossad. They are the most dour, condescending and disorganised humans I have met in this job.

Best

Knowhow/Currys - Newark

Sometimes a bit of a wait for a bay but always pleasant and for a long while the machines were in free vend. And the staff were… Err… pleasant to look at! God I miss going there…

Chep - Bickenhill

Friendly staff be actually quick compared to all the other Chep sites I have ever been to

Aldi - Chelmsford.

I know, I can’t believe I’m typing this but hear me out. Not the main building but the small unit round the corner. The staff are genuinely great.
Helpful, friendly actually talk instead of grunt.

Oh yeah and this is a first for me at Aldi - they will help tip you if they are free from doing anything else. My record is me and 3 x forkies on my trailer. A 1 hour tip of bottled water in 10 mins.

I’m there now, been told I’m going to D10 so not the tight bays as you come in.

morrisons frozen wakefield dump of a place coffee machine not working goods in staff pig ignorant 3hrs to tip 26 pallets of fish fingers nearly as bad as the chilled side

I went in there a while ago, pulled up at the gate pressed the button on the intercom and said "morning (and company name). The ignorant bell end on the intercom said “I don’t care who you are, what’s your booking reference number” [emoji53]

People like that, just keep being polite, ask for their name, supervisors name and then complain via the most visible platform direct to their customer services - Twitter seems best for this.

I know customer services isn’t the obvious route to take but it’s often the most visible representation of the company.

Worst? Slough. It is a vile pre fabricated refugee camp where the highlight of all inhabitants lives is not to get mugged on the way out of Cash Converters.
Even the Irish ■■■■■■ wont stop there in case their caravans get nicked.

Worst, IH Foods in southall, you have to do a blindside reverse into their yard through a hand car wash place off of a dual carriage way right by traffic lights and a hospital while dealing with London traffic, (and always for 1 pallet) not good.
Adelie in Wembley, one way in n out from the north circular, cars double parked in the entrance, when you get to their yard it’s full of pallets, skips, compressing machines and other crap. a really tight yard to try to get out of, almost a suzie snapper.
Fresh direct in Bicester. If you’ve been there you’ll know!

Yep, ASDA Dallam Lane, Warrington is indeed dreadful. Not sure it will get any better next year when it moves to Omega at the side of the M62.

Most of the ASDA ’ workers ’ are going over. I think a handful are rumoured to be taking redundancy.

Warrington and Wigan are moving. I heard Wigan is turning into a recycling centre. The redundancy offered is ■■■■ though.
The new road past Asda to the Mail centre is so much easier for me.

Had to do both of the crapholes today. About 90 mins driving and 5 hours sitting about. Thought I was in for a quick tip at Warrington, as the gatehouse put me straight on a bay, rather than a tour of the one way system, but oh no, 1h12m before I caught a glimpse of a forklift. (And I was the only motor there)

Then up to Wigan. Where I think I encountered strike talks, shift changes, general unrest and 3 ■■■ breaks.

But no unloading.

Has Beaver taken over control of Goods In for Asda?

When I do, I will make sure you get ’ misplaced ’ in the queue.

Cheeky rascal!

Co-op Coventry. Was there 3 hours yesterday to tip 6 pallets (not mixed pallets or anything tricky) got put on a bay after about 10 mins.

Whilst waiting I partook in a number of coffees and ■■■■, and noticed the same old faces seemed to be continually nipping out.

Anyway, finally got a green light, and went back to goods in for my notes. Well bugger me if the skinny blonde girl that came in with them hadn’t been out for 3 ■■■ breaks (and that was only while I was under the shelter!!!)

So on average, this girl needs a break for every 2 pallets she tips.

Hateful place.

I’ve got Co-op Coventry for one pallet tomorrow… Heaven have mercy.

Good canteen though. And they seem to have gone a bit lenient on booking in times.

As tomorrow is Friday, there’s a bloody good chance I could end up there myself. Look out for a chain smoking swearing guy with wild blonde hair.

My time is between 8 abandon 10:30 am.

The bad…

Brakes Warrington - stick you on a bay then in the waiting room for whatever time they deem neccesarry to keep you… I now bypass that by ensuring i have my moffet on the back and need a side tip

Morrisons Gadbrook park (Northwich) - wait outside in the lorry driver bingo for anything upto 2 hours… then get to the goods in yard and get parked up by the marshall for anything upto another 2 hours… quick tip mind!! only to be waiting anything upto another 2 hours for them to check the 2 pallets you have just brought in!!

Dr outeker Leyland - H&S madness!! not allowed ANYWHERE other than the waiting room (1 chair, 1 kettle 1 microwave) while the forkies are moving about the yard… I made a brew in the “room” and not long after they called me out… i was bollocked for carrying my brew through the warehouse to put it in the cab!! :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

I was in and out of co-op Coventry in less than 45 minutes!

Gadbrook is a bloody joke. Can’t even use the loo anymore, as Andy, dimwit on the yard, says there’s a sign up to say you can’t. Suddenly goes deaf when you tell him you’re OK to use it on his days off and holidays. He has no idea of queuing, he will tell you which bay to go on, and it must all make sense in his tiny mind, but you can watch 6 or 7 folk that came in after you, with a couple of pallets on, jump in and out and be well clear of the place because they need to fly in folk from all over the UN to make their minds up about whether or not they’re going to refuse a case of organic dog arse wipes from a bloke with grey hair who’s been there since he was a YTS, in some form of Scammell or other.
