56mph
80 mph freightliner cascadia down hill in utah that was legal there to. took a picture of the speed on my sat nav then backed off to 65 did not feel to safe.it was +40 outside would have been toast if a front tyre had have gone.
Every car ive ever owned at one point took it to its limit, just to say I’ve done it, never need to do it again
Present car lexus LS600hl 5ltr V8 449bhp standard…
Took it to its govern limit day I picked it up on my 400ml journey back home
155mph
Fastest in car was 155mph on sat nav in a Merc SLK - limited to 155mph
Fastest on bike was over 190 on clock, actual 171 on camera, not bad for a bike that could only do 165 out of the showroom 14yrs earlier
I’ve now got a clean licence and don’t speed anymore, but have taken my current car on a ‘test track’ to 140mph on the sat nav, was touching the red line on the rev counter, set ‘cruise control’ to 140mph and came off the throttle and the rev’s dropped by 1000rpm, but as soon as you tried to accelerate past 140 it lost it all in the crappy automatic gearbox.
But, it’s a diesel estate car and got 190,000 miles on the clock, so 140mph isn’t bad.
Car 140
Bike 160 ish
Artic 75
Started on z1000, very scary 130 and moved up over the years to a vfr750 that felt rock solid at 160. No particular time but back then over the ton nearly everywhere…
Did Scarborough to Hartlepool one night in 45 minutes…
I’ve grown up now and don’t rev over 2000rpm these days…
110 mph in Granada 2.8 x pack estate on A428
120 kph down between 5 & 6 on M40

Roadtested a BMW rr from Southport bmw
180 on the on slip of a “motor way” and more to go!!!
Not a bike a bloody starship.Freaky beast.
14 grand is a hell of a price for a suicide machine but WHAT a monster.
I thought the first thing to do with a new car is to take it to the limit. E30 turbo I think has been the fastest. Rev limiter at ~160mph. 2 wheels only driven a 125cc and they do struggle to reach any speed worth talking about ☺
On belt (snowmobile) think a bit over 100mph, they doesn’t have that high top speed.
165 kph on a forest track, scared the hell out of me.
got to a hundred in my old Granada 2.8 ghia x,[one of the best cars ever built] then my bottle went, rapid deceleration
I had a run against a 640 BMW on a motorway in Kent and when he hit his factory limiter I sailed off in to the distance. Not bad for a 20 year old car [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]
186mph bmw m5 in germany and still some left its good for over 200mph one day it will be done
ill try and find the vid
81mph in the truck coming out of casablanca
158mph on the sidecar when i was racing them
and mansfield to santa pod 1hr 5minutes late up one morning
120 mph in a 1989 xr2i, when i was young and daft!
146 with an average speed of 112.6 over 2.5 miles (or thats what the nice policeman told me).
quite lucky to get away with a £350 fine and 6 points
never go above 90 now
Bike 148 haven’t had a chance to max out my current one, anyway I get more enjoyment from nailing a series of bends than flat out speed
Car probably about the same
as I grow older my need for speed is being moderated by my reluctance to suffer the pain/hassle/cost if it goes ■■■■■■■ up
Driving myself in car is a speedo indicated 150 in a rover 600 Ti very underrated car. Bike 80 mph but I only passed my test last month and I’m older and wiser now!
Once seen just over 150 on the speedo of a Sierra cosworth on the A174 coming out of Redcar the owner was driving as my mate was buying it, I wasn’t very impressed sat in the back :-S
