92 mph going downhill in my wife’s Smart Car.
inicated 170 mph on a 1000 cc Yamaha in 1992 on the motorway…pre limiter days was whatever was flat out in whatever truck I drove,(well in excess of 75 downhills),and best on the limiter in n.i. was an indicated 82 mph in a 540 actros going past the petrol station at the bottom of glenshane pass in the middle of the night fully loaded…(to be honest,my limiter seems to have a niggling intermittent fault that disconnects it constantly, but there you go??..50 might be thrifty, but the tons more fun…always drive it like you stole it,and it relieves boredom…
I stick to speed limits and try not to put people in danger.
On the track…130 maybe.
112 in a Td5 defender 110…very scary experience
Fastest I’ve been is as a passenger when I was about 14 on a Kawasaki that was 170 down the A610.
I’ve personally done 150 on a cbr600 and 120 in a Rover 25 Sport that I had when I was younger
I’ve not put whether it was kph or mph for legal reasons.

Once and only once!! Got a smidgen over 150mph on my zx7r bike. Never again, I crapped myself. It was all over the place. Can at least say I did it !
They’re one of the most stable bikes to ride at speed… Did it have worn/mismatched tyres or incorrectly set up/worn out suspension?
Dave
Won’t put the speed in print but, honda cbr1000 flat out, a329m.
Intended to take woodley exit but diverted to bracknell.
M4 at 3am ,nobody about.Flat out on my Honda Cbr 1000.The vision does not work well at high speeds.
130mph up the M32 when I had to get to hospital rather quickly when the better half was having to go in for an emergency c-section but couldn’t give her consent, very scary situation as she was in the delivery suite on her own I say it was a 130, that’s when the digi speedo in the Picasso stopped working, but I was still accelerating
The dial in the V8 disco stops at 130, not sure I want to take it the high given the instability at high speeds
Before I became a hgv driver in 1991 I had a milk float going downhill at 87 mph not a drop was spilt, onest drive!
Indicated 145mph on a Honda VFR 750 and an indicated 140mph in a Mondeo. Bikes are great at speed, but after the ton came up, it doesn’t feel/look that much quicker. Until you stick something into the wind going past the fairing…
I was quite happily doing 60 through the M1 roadworks in lane 3 on Friday. Some old biddy looked quite pleased with herself that she’d got me on video. Well tough ■■■■■■■, got word that eldest lad has a collapsed lung and I ain’t hanging around cos some old brow beaten codger won’t change lanes unless his worst half wants to video me.

Best wishes to him mate - regards ST
189 on a bike and no i’m not telling anyone where and when.
140 on the clock on the A422 Bromham to Mk on my Bandit & I had R1’s, Fazers & GSXR’s coming past me as if I was standing still !!!
(Note, Fazers have got R1 engines)
Driving myself I’ve probably never done more than about 110 (in my Dad’s Cavalier SRI many years ago) but I was once on the back a mate’s bike (Kawasaki Z900) and he was touching 140 at times. I’ve never been so sh*t scared in all my life!
140 in my car , 75-80 in the truck , don’t do it no more lol
Cheers guys, he’s out of danger and stable.
240kph whatever that equates to , E30 M3 .
