Army drivers have been put on standby

Last I read from a slightly more credible source is they were looking at September amd probably late Sept to implement this, so presumably this is a way to shut the RHA up and wait for the papers to find a real story.

One thing I don’t get - if you’re running a supermarket and not got the drivers, why not prioritise goods? Say instead of shipping 10 versions of cheese, ship 2 or instead of 20 toilet rolls, ship own brand & one other? Might ■■■■ off the suppliers, but they aren’t your priority.

As for Premier Foods - pretty sure they like many others ran their ops on cheap labour or did when I went there to collect. Oh didums, they went away, how sad. You’re private company and there are plenty more who can take over. Nothing you sell is real food anyway.

Have noticed Greencore seem to be keeping quiet unless they got ot better sorted.

Maybe the supermarket RCDs need to employ decent transport managers that can actually plan and prioritise outbound loads. I won’t mention RDCs in Grangemouth and Livingston where I’ve sat waiting hours on a load only to be sent home. Waste of a tacho some days

First delivery by military done!

That’s probably not fair off what reality will be like. That’s how dumb they are. I hope you’ve all got your freezers fully stocked just in case it does actually happen as nowhere will have any food within a week. :grimacing:

Looks like they are already running for Tufnells.

This will cause another shortage, many of these Army drivers would probably have gone into haulage when they leave the Army, but now they are going to see how ■■■■ the job is and will probably give it a miss in civvy street.

I love your well thought out and generalised opinions on certain groups.
So 99% of truck drivers are thick ■■■■■ (you are among the 1% no doubt) and now 100% of the Brutish Army are dumb.
What are your views on the Royal Navy and the RAF, …and are the R.Marines any better?
Pray please share your words of wisdom on this oh great one.
Out of interest, … do you (or would you) readily and loudly express these views out loud in real life away from a keyboard, or maybe in a Colchester boozer for instance…just curious.
Ffs eh? :unamused:

I very much doubt the thick unpatriotic ■■■■ will answer.
This is the know it all ■■■■ that is so fast to point out other forum members spelling and grammar mistakes that he doesn’t know the difference between “far” and “fair”!

Speaking of which, I’ve just noticed I put ‘Brutish’ Army instead of British Army.
My excuse is I’ve got superglue over my glasses lens, until my new ones arrive, and I can’t see a ■■■■ thing.

The difference is you have an excuse, you’re from the North East.
He hasn’t, he’s from the elite educational capital of Britain……. Castleford.
He’s been called out a couple of times about his hatred of H M Forces and refuses to answer posts about his views.
As a proud veteran I have a name for his sort, unfortunately the censor forbids me from sharing it with him.

Well technically I ain’t FROM there, but my Granda was, I live a tad west from there… but thanks for the back handed compliment anyway…I think.

I could do what “bullshiners” like you do and blame it on predictive text or dyslexia (the default answer that all the thick [zb]s use :bulb: ), but instead I just MTFU and admit it was a typo. You should try it sometime. But then I’m not the one sat in a glass house in my underpants jerking off in response to adam277 about how intellectually superior their English grammar is, where they feel the need to put down others when their own is just as shocking. But in your defence, being ex-Army at least you have an excuse for being a thick [zb].

Probably one of the most offensive comments that you have made, nowI am no snowflake and not easily offended but when you call being ex army thick not only is that comment unpatriotic but an insult for all of the fallen heroes as well as everyone who has served their country. ■■■■ like you making comments like that are the thick ones. Not keen on Grumpy old trucker myself but if he is a veteran then I can fully understand him being annoyed at that awful comment.

Ah the virtue-signalling now! Being professionally offended on someone else’s behalf? Got it! Oh and send me to the Gulag this instant for daring to be “unpatriotic”   . How awful of me. And don’t give me that old [zb] about fallen heroes - they knew exactly what they were getting into when they signed up. I didn’t ask them to go fight in other people’s proxy wars and wreck the lives of the poor sods stuck in the middle of it with no escape, so how about you take your virtue-signalling bull[zb], stick it up your arse and go swivel on it ?

I guess then a threat to 23 options of milk, 12 options of potatoes, 56 options for cereals, all seasonal fruits 24 / 7 / 365, etc, etc, is now considered a national crisis.
Can anyone tell me what has happened to that nation that once experienced products rationing for 15 years and just kept calm and carried on?

Virtue -signalling ? No not offended on someone elses behalf, I too have served and find your comment offensive for that reason. Anyone who has served will feel the same way when some gob ■■■■■ spews out those sort of comments. You are the type of person that simply says idiotic rubbish for the attention you don’t get anywhere else. You want a beacon shining on you, Look at me, Look at me. You are just a jumped up little jack ■■■ that is like a spoiled child. You need to grow up son and try to get people to give you some attention by being normal.

Well tough [zb]. Deal with the fact that people have different opinions and don’t spend their lives worshipping the feet of those who choose to fight in other country’s proxy wars that are nothing to do with them and wreck millions of innocent people’s lives in the process. If I’m going to respect anyone it’s those who can see the whole ‘serving in the military’ sham for what it is and refuse to have others’ blood on their hands. Be as offended as you want, I couldn’t give a singular [zb]. I’ve no doubt you’ll go crying to the mods now to help ease your hurt feelings.

As for your closing remarks - don’t worry, the feeling is mutual and has been that way since you first arrived here, so do me a favour and stay the [zb] away from my posts and threads and I’ll gladly do the same for yours. :bulb:

Not sure if it was his wife, I am thinking it is him that left his wife for a male soldier and then the soldier saw sense and has ■■■■■■ him off.
