Just found out that I actually got a 900 euro xmas bonus, but the taxman took 50% of it as it’s classed as a gift. Still getting used to the high Dutch taxes

Our place gives out an accident bonus. I think it increases £60 or £80 per year. After 6 years its £480 a year.

Was told by agency “sorry your you don’t get holiday pay as its included into your hourly rate” Even though I’m PAYE
Thanks agency Now i don’t get paid again for nearly a month as production has stopped until Jan 8th at Jaguar
We get a weeks wages as a Christmas present it’s taxed as normal but not complaining

Every agency driver I’ve ever had the misfortune to be bored by has spewed forth into tales of how they make more than Bill Gates around Christmas and that they don’t need to work the rest of the year because they make so much an hour then. Despite sitting in dirty clothes in July.
You must be lying, the smelly man in the RDC wouldn’t have told me lies about agency wages.

Sadly Adonis i have to break the illusion of this impression you have - at least in my case!
I really don’t make more than Bill Gates at this or any other time of year and in all honesty agency rates are for the most part pretty dreadful as I’m sure you are really aware of. Its not a complaint, just a statement of honest facts at least on my part.
I can only hope personally for a better 2018 and if not, well I guess I’ll get by anyway.

We used to get a cash bonus at Xmas but now get it at the end of the tax year, usually around £1000 ,depending on company profits.
Not expecting that much next year as the other driver at our depot has caused ■■■■ loads of damage to products, property and vehicles.
He also managed to run over and kill a pedigree Husky. 
Place I worked for once handed out £50 Asda vouchers at Christmas. I was pleased, swung into Asda on the way home and loaded up the boot with beer on the firm.
When I went back into work though it turned out some other drivers had been whining about “only” getting £50 for their efforts & then next year we all got sweet FA.
£15 M&S voucher.
Went into M&S today, picked out a Flan and a Mars Bar - and it was like “You can always put the Mars Bar back”…
£25 Sainsbury’s gift card and £210 on top of this months salary. I’ve only been there just over a year so I very much appreciate it as I’ve never had a bean before!
£300.00 and a bottle/crate of your choice.
We might give a bit more at the end of the financial year.

Wife got a bonus of 10% of her yearly salary on Friday,and they have paid her full pay for the last 11 months whilst she has been off work battling cancer…she works for a small family company who have looked after her impeccably since diagnosis.

520 a year taxed and now if u do not have a accident at all thats ur fault u get a 200 bonus on top.but it all gets taxed.plus firm provides us with a turkey to.sp not to bad really.some moan about getting taxed as its 10 a week attendance bonus and they keep it and profit on it till they pay out and tax u on it.so why can it not put put through as exspenses.to me its better than nothing at all
