Anyone got a xmas bonus?

Hand written card, a large box of Italian delicacies and tableware (yeah, I know it’s a bit strange, maybe they got a good deal on it), and 450 euros in the wages. Small Dutch firm that’s growing (a new truck arrived last Wednesday) and been there just under a year.

Any goods get damaged (and salvaged) by your company last year? Maybe in transit from Italy?
Still better being given away than being chucked in a skip though.

I’m certainly not complaining. I like Italian food and it was a big box of stuff. The cash bonus was certainly good though. Glad to get anything.

We got a. Goodie bag and 30 quid vouchers so better than nothing.

This year we got diddly squat not even a card. Unless. You count 2 new hi viz coats and a new pair of dewalt work boots, rest of the uniform isn’t here yet, might get the rest for next Christmas. Lol

Just waiting on 5 polo shorts 5 trousers and 5 jumpers.

We had 180 to spend on uniform for the first year with the new branding on it. And 140 a year thereafter. So mine came in to just under 180 quid.

I’m fact not even a thank you for all the hard work during peak.

£10 voucher and entry into the company raffle. Didn’t win.

Photocopied crimbo card with company logo on that takes pride of place on me mantle piece.

Spoilt I am.

Got a new hi viz jacket.

I used to be a hookdriver for that colourful skip company in Telford that went bump 4 years ago,one xmas we were given tickets that we could use for a bacon or sausage butty and a hot drink from a greasy spoon van we had on site, managed to swop my drink for a fried egg, resulting in bacon and egg butty, another year 4 cans of john smiths      ,now drive for the well known family run metal recycling firm in the same area, this year extra 20 hrs put into last wks pay,if i dont drive for anyone else again it wont bother me.

 Blackpool aint that bad.
No, they were a top firm mate, made you feel valued, and because of that I would always put myself out, and go that extra mile for them, (.unlike the ‘‘would not ■■■■ on if on fire situation’’ I am in now with my present firm who will remain nameless.)

They were based in Colchester, but I kept the truck home based up here 300+ miles away.
I did not leave either, the owner retired, or I would still have been there today 10 yrs after.
I still use some of the kit today that they bought me, fridge microwave etc.
It makes ALL the difference in terms of application, attitude and loyalty towards your firm if you are treated well, unfortunately most companies today fail to see that, although many drivers today will still do anything even if treated like ■■■■. :unamused:

But in all fairness to the boss,he did say “go on,have another one”

My company are exceptional, especially considering this is the USA.
0 to 1 year… $500.
2 to 5 years …$750.
6 to 10 years $1,000.
10 years and over … $2,750.
This was my first … $2,750 bonus

Merry [zb] christmas!

I feel for you Sir, I too have cancer, most companies here try to find some way to get rid of anyone who costs them medical payouts. I am quite surprised that as my medical bills have already reached over half a million dollars and my monthly treatments cost over $16k every 4 weeks. Keep fighting the good fight and try and have a good Christmas

Xmas card, chocolates and 2.5% pay rise. happy days

Friday 22nd Dec and Tuesday 02nd Jan off without pay and I’ve no doubt no shifts next week either so lose lose for me.

Thank you so much dear agency! :frowning:

Every agency driver I’ve ever had the misfortune to be bored by has spewed forth into tales of how they make more than Bill Gates around Christmas and that they don’t need to work the rest of the year because they make so much an hour then. Despite sitting in dirty clothes in July.

You must be lying, the smelly man in the RDC wouldn’t have told me lies about agency wages.

A.

just gone mine…a bottle of red,and a tin of quality street.
