Anyone ever worked for the Brakes food company?
There are jobs going in Grantham that seem to pay reasonably well. Just wondering if it would be handball city or not though?
Yes. Do some searching around in here and the Newbie forum, as there have been a number of posts (also search for 3663, as the situation is similar).
On rigids, it’s early starts, many drops and lots of handballing into customers’ premises. Hard work.
On artics, I don’t know, as I’ve never done it.

class1 nights- drive to thorpe park ,sit in canteen whilst being tipped then back ,easy
drive to yate,sit in cab whilst being tipped ,drive back,easy.
get taken to corley services, drive truck back to grantham, easy
class 2 nights-drive to peterlee, sit in canteen, drive different motor back, easy
class 1 days do burtonwood services ,west and east ,shops,garage etc then down and do shardlow services east and west, burger king,hotel,garage etc pallets,cages etc. [t-shirt had changed from blue to white due to the amount of sweat 
fleet services ,east and west ,shops, forecourts etc ,pallets,cages,handball it into freezer -makes you sweat
and a few other but it was 2 yrs ago and things may have changed ,had a assesment drive for a job a while ago but didnt take it as it was tues to sat one week ,then mon to sat following week with any day off in the week
id say apply go for interview and see what there offering,nothing to loose they may just have something you fancy
