Co-op Newhouse

Got a couple of days driving with a co-op buddy and a test on the 3rd day up at this place.

Before I go just wanting to check if anyone’s done any work with them. The odd person tells me it’s just moving cages and others tell me there’s a lot of handball and you might not always get class 1 work and be put out in a rid is where the handballing is more intense.

Someof the small er Co-ops and Spar places mean reversing in through the car park.Bloody dangerous IMO.

Ive done a few shifts there as agency. Not sure about the handball. The only handball I ever did was at some of the smaller stores where they dont want to have too many cages lying around so want some of the quarter filled ones condensed. Its all pretty light stuff so no bother.
I got a rigid a couple times but not any more handball than artic. And id rather have a rigid than the short wheelbase scanias and single axle trailers!
Some of the delivery points are a ■■■■■■■ nightmare. In car parks,on slopes, uneven ground and the staff stand at the door watching you and wont lend a hand.
All in all though its ok to work from. Not too pressurised but they download the tracker after every run then question you for every time you stopped.

Cheers guys.

Trying to get some experience just now so need to look at anything that comes up.

I work there fulltime mate. Its a piece of ■■■■, some handball stores but all you do is get cage to the door its not up to you to handball. You will get experience of 14,18 and 26 tonners on rigids and 27ft, 35ft rear stears,40ft, 45ft and double-deckers. After a few months you will be able to put anything anywhere. im the youngest driver in there and the experience you get you wont get anywhere else. The buddy days are good but you don’t learn anything until your alone. Pm me if your stuck on anything
