Agency vs regular

If he called me thick to my face the devil would weep for him or something

Had a nasty trip on the kerb this morning and twisted ankle quite badly.
Took Mrs shopping this afternoon and suddenly realised, there I am limping along with a Lidl carrier bag under my arm, hope to God no-one noticed, although wasn’t wearing hi-vis so might have got away with it

Lorn trakta doesn’t seem to think much of the standard the posts or posters on here. It occurred to me that if I were to take a look at a few of his previous 100 posts, I may see how it should be done. This was a bit of a wasted exercise however, as almost all of them have been " edited out " ■■
Regards. John.

Dipper_Dave:
Well I really enjoyed Lorne’s initial post just the right amount of venom and strong opinion to keep me interested.

and it’d be a fantastic contribution to the Team Agency argument were it not for one thing.

The vast majority of agency drivers are not budding Alan Sugars with fingers in multiple lucrative baked products.

The vast majority of agency drivers are unemployable limpers dragging their gammy leg from one night shift to the next because they can’t get a job.

Good effort though.

so your an agency driver know it all who walks with a limp
what brand carrier bag do you carry??.. could this be conors second account

i get near 11 an hour working full time, suits me and my bank manger and the tax man, maybe one day when my wife leaves me and i lose the will to bath or shave and cheap steel top caps force me walk a wobble, i might join the ranks of agency, i ■■■■ well near did once, until i was told how much they were taking from me and id have to be ready at thedrop of a hat for shifts, wasnt for me, parasites the lot of them

Coming from Liverpool I suppose for you allowances are in order, but you might like to point out to me where I said I was an agency driver, or even an employee driver?, from April to August and October to December I’m in England and will be found driving only my own truck in association with my own garden, grounds and property upkeep business [lorn trakta=lawn tractor, corny I know], a business that I built up simultaneously to doing night trunk driving for thirty years, quitting all year round truck driving in Feb 2011, I live in Gibraltar all other times, you just carry on ‘living the dream’ pal, if I were from Liverpool I guess any form of escape is acceptable.

So, you take exception to bantering about stereotypes and limps, but don’t blink an eye at mocking someone who’s from Liverpool. Is that right up lawntractor.net’s ethical back alley? Or are you just struggling with what we in trucknet call a sense of humour?

It’s a thick man thing of course to question. I understand your dichotomy (I googled the word)

Why are the essay type posts on here all from agency drivers?

It could only have been a matter of time before Team Alcohol turned up with its leading light, getting to the bottom of that vodka bottle asap in order to get to grips with his mind warping obsession with agency drivers, doubtless brought about by him knowing an agency driver, and naturally the agency driver is doing better than Contraflow, that’s hardly the fault of the agency driver, but the really depressing thing in Contraflow’s life is the drink-drive limit being far too low, his posts come thicker and faster the more Mr Vodka assists him with his mind warping obsession, there are of course other mind warping obsessions like Islamaphobia, homophobia and to that we can now add Contraflowbia, the fear or envy of agency drivers, perhaps in his case both, but doubtless nothing another drink wont sort out,

For your information I’m not an agency driver, a point already made earlier, just in case you’re aiming your post in my direction.

great thread guys

Agency drivr here who was offered a full time job with a company today because the cant find drivers with my experience .when i asked what their rate was i said no thank you.then get a phone call from my agency and guess what I’m driving for the same company tomorrow on £2 an hour more with the option of temp to perm !

Question is why don’t companies just match or beat agency rates ?

This is the 2nd job offer in two weeks,I’m still happy doing 3 days a week as and when i choose.

Nah its just procrastination, keeps you from doing that comprehensive list of DIY given to you buy your other halves

Your not any kind of driver as im sure you mentioned in that mass of random words you post. Ride on lawn mowers dont count.
Your a bit uppity for a gardener are you not? Perhaps if you calmed down a bit you’d realise your coming across a very angry, small minded man. Is it because B&Q are selling lawnmowers for about £100 and people are cutting their own lawns and not paying you, therefor killing your dream and you’ve discovered a flaw in your grand plan and havnt actually “made it” and found a gap in the market?
Plus its a bit rich to rip into truck drivers (on a truck forum no less) when your just a glorified grass cutter. Any illegal immigrant in America with a Mexican accent does it if they cant do anything else.
So all in all you might want to rethink your angry posting about stupid, idiot lorry drivers when all you do is cut grass. Your hardly “living the dream”

That’s the beauty of agency - one flounces off and the next day along pops a near identical replacement.

Jesus !!! You’d be hard pushed to find another six page thread full of utter ■■■■■■■■ !!! And people are giving long drawn out considered opinions !! Ha ha ha !!!

I reckon some of these agency bods need some therapy and anger management ,they can do it monday to friday thru the day when they have no work on

Crikey-I thought agency baiting was sport.

It looks like its causing havoc lol! I would like the lifestyle choicers to explain something to me.

If you are all so well off,why do the majority of you work crap shifts, wear tatty clothes, drive steaming piles of [zb], and generally resemble people who have been sleeping rough at Chernobyl?

It seems very odd. Is it a ploy to keep the taxman away from your off-shore accounts? OR
is it more like John(old67) says

It’s quite funny how those like you happily taking the pi55 out of others, in the name of it being mere banter; a claim as vacuous as its claimants, is something you can’t bear to be on the receiving end of yourselves, the only common hypocritical theme throughout this ‘agency vs full-time’ thread, taking a dose of your own medicine doesn’t appear to be a trucknet full-timer-driver fortĂ©, not that I care how you react, it is after all mere banter.

A moderator on a truck forum, who doesn’t even drive trucks, a bit like a minister for transport who doesn’t have a driving license, you must be real proud to host a site that allows posters with impunity to ridicule those with a disability or injury created defect.
