Crikey-I thought agency baiting was sport.
It looks like its causing havoc lol! I would like the lifestyle choicers to explain something to me.
If you are all so well off,why do the majority of you work crap shifts, wear tatty clothes, drive steaming piles of [zb], and generally resemble people who have been sleeping rough at Chernobyl?
It seems very odd. Is it a ploy to keep the taxman away from your off-shore accounts? OR…is it more like John(old67) says…
And your overview of the UK road transport world; giving rise to your assertions, comes from what lofty position.
I am not amused by the comment made about people who have a lisp. its not a laughing matter, i expect a more grown up approach on these matters. what do you think limpy ? shouldn’t they be a bit more grown up on here ?
Mike-C:
Jesus !!! You’d be hard pushed to find another six page thread full of utter [zb] !!! And people are giving long drawn out considered opinions !! Ha ha ha !!!
A moderator on a truck forum, who doesn’t even drive trucks, a bit like a minister for transport who doesn’t have a driving license, you must be real proud to host a site that allows posters with impunity to ridicule those with a disability or injury created defect.
Don’t pick on me, you know nothing about me. And anyway even if you did…your long diatribe is right up there with the immature postings in this thread of agency or regular, thats the level of your intellect. Having done both its not something i’m going to lower my intelligence to enter into discussion over You carry on and argue with people on your own level, like you’re doing, and leave me out of it…Cheers!!!

If I wanted to argue with people on my own level i would be on a professional transport forum, and not where the vehicles remain on the ground, you’re right I know nothing of you that I can remember and having wiped out most of my posts I can’t really check, part of a now unkept resolution not to visit trucknet again, jesus wept have you read the dead-from-the-neck-up threads over the last year?, how these neanderthals work out in sufficient time the need to visit the toilet amazes me let alone knowing they’re out there on the roads with a truck, of any size, so my sincere apologizes , I now realize I had you mixed up with someone else, jet lag and boredom can do more than alcohol, ah well back to trolling.

So why are you on here arguing? Is this forum you talk about flymo.net?
Im not none of the above yet so many will not take my opinion.
Someone asks about agency drivers driving round “steaming piles of excrement”
At the end of the day what does it matter what you drive?
My old boss was on over £100,000 per year and still chose to drive a battered old G reg cavalier.
Have we seriously got to the age where we start judging peoples wealth on what car they own?
I know people with so called Premium German brands that are financed upto the hilt.
Im finding this quite amusing to read as once I have passed my tests I will probably be looking at Agency work to get the experience needed.
I am really envious of you guys at the moment, while I am still driving my DOT COM van but some of the things being said are more suited to a middle school playground.
Sorry for the long reply and I hope that I have not offended anyone.
Thomas

People go out, earn money and spend it on what they want. Some folks spend it on upgrading their homes, others spend it on upgrading someone else’s truck, some have expensive holidays, some drivers idea of an holiday is parking a truck up in a layby, some spend it on gym membership, others spend it on booze and ■■■■. At the end of the day, they earn it and they spend it the way they want to.
I have a tidy car, as it is just as easy to get points on an unroadworthy car, as it is to go shooting through a speed camera in a truck. Some people have standards, some people don’t. Everyone has different aspirations.

Not a laughing matter? Do I have to mention…Biggus Dickus?
QUOTE; we can now add Contraflowbia, the fear or envy of agency drivers.
If "Contraflowbia " was real, would it not be correctly described as “a fear of Contraflow” ? If so, I may may have this phobia, because although I can hold my own in our " ■■■■■■■■■■ club " down the pub, I am sometimes in awe of his talents in this direction !!

What the [zb] is your problem?
What are you getting worked-up about FFS!, it’s just banter don’t you know?.
Theres banter and then theres aggressive, arrogant, nasty posting and you are most definitely the latter. Perhaps while your scouring the dictionary for big words to use to try and convince us your an intelligent guy you could look up the word “banter” and see if your last dozen posts actually come under the description.

You could be onto something here, to fear an agency driver it should be called ‘limpanhivizobia’, or even use the correct phobia name for fear of a limp appendage which is ‘Medomalacophobia’.

I wonder what fear of a lisp appendage might be called ?
I have been thinking a bit more about this. having a go at agency men is a bit unfair, because when it comes to defending themselves, they don’t have the final defence of running away or indeed hiding
