Good luck :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

To the OP.
The ‘bank a grand a week’ merchants are fewer and further apart than some of the herberts on here would have you believe.
600ish T/H for 5 days tramping is a ■■■■ sight nearer the mark as a wage wherever you are in the UK.
All the best with the job!

Cheers boys :sunglasses:

Don’t listen to the moaners , the job is what you make it , yes we do recycling waste which isn’t to every body’s liking , but we do a wide variation of work for example , wood chips , bark , compost , palletised goods , bagged fertiliser etc . It’s not your normal driving job , as we get to some weird & wonderful places , one day you could be loading wood chip in longleat safari park next you could be tipping landscaping bark on a new housing development , every day brings something different & it certainly beats sitting in a smelly room in a supermarket RDC listening to bulls##t from drivers who wouldn’t know a hard days work if it kicked them up the arse . As for chasing around like idiots , well that is down to the driver himself cos no one pushes you , all planners are ex drivers who know the job . The money is decent as quoted in an earlier post , plus £110 a day holiday pay , sick pay made up to £250 pw , good pension scheme , and £20,000 death in service payment to mention but a few . The way I look at it is the nature of our work is mostly involved In recycling of one sort or another & in this green enviro friendly time we live , that tells me that my job is pretty secure for a good while yet . As for Stobart running us , don’t believe everything you hear , have a look at the website & you’ll see AWJ is more than just a haulage company . So anyone fancying a change or trying something different give it a go & see for yourself .

If it’s £11 for running on a Saturday, what’s the hourly rate in the week?
