Do they pay drivers a percentage of truck earnings do they disclose those earnings so the driver can work out his bonus. And if is it true do some drivers go along with it and accept it…I don’t know. just asking a genuine question
Also is it true that a lot of drivers have left even though the job was once dead mans shoes and a waiting list?
I don’t know …just curious, maybe someone could answer these Questions.
Yes they pay a bonus on trucks earnings. No you will never find out the rate to work the wages out.
Yes a lot of drivers have left recently. Used to be a waiting list but not anymore I believe.
Regarding the speed, some drivers go for the load bonus and some go for the fuel bonus!
Yeah from what I can gather a lot have left from the old days i.e 22% of what the wagon makes ect ect was really afta some input from a jenkys driver but it’s still good crack on here . As for gettin a shower evey day it’s 2015 if you can’t your a scruffy ■■■■■■■ compost or no compost il let you kna the crack

So speaking generally how would a driver know that worked for ANY co that paid them this way (not specifically Jenks )that they were not being fed a load of crap by a company to get them to tear their arses off, or even work on a Sunday for nothing for instance if a co paid a set salary that is (that is assuming some drivers are that stupid)
How can a fuel bonus work (actually talking about Jenks specifically this time unlike last time) if a driver is using revs to operate walking floor.
I should have been a lawyer
It’s called dangling a carrot. If you go like ■■■■ you MIGHT get paid more! [emoji6]
A walking floor used correctly only runs at medium revs for a short periods of time. Shouldn’t have a huge affect on fuel figures.

ok guys I’ve got a driving assessment and interview at jenkys , now I’ve heard mixed reports some of the older guys have said its [zb] and some of the new boys ( 18 month) say it’s ok any info greatly appreciated already on a walking floor cheers boysDon’t get that. If some of the older guys say it’s [zb] then why are they still there?? Probably they’re the ones who dictate they won’t run in the odd sat morning, want only certain runs and can’t take that trailer 5 mins down the road as they’re on 9 hours 58 mins driving and 89 hours 58 mins driving for the fortnight as they get back to the yard even though they’ve been local all week
You find most folk that complain to anyone and everyone about the outfit they work for are like those I have just described, won’t do the odd favour or help out now and again but expect heaven and earth in return but whinge when they don’t get it.
Give it a try you’ll only find out for yourself if it’s not your thing.
probably cos they have a nice little number there and don’t want newbies messing it up for them, thats what normally happens when they slag the job off to prospective employees, personally I would not listen to them,i say allways make your own mind up about it

Yeh ok, but you miss my point mate. In order to know that you ARE actually getting paid a percentage surely you will need some idea of the truck’s earnings.
The reason I am banging on about this is I know somebody that works for another co. not Jenkys not Stobbys who was convinced he was being conned. He ran flat out in one set period and ■■■■■■ about and tossed it off in another as an experiment. His wage was thae same give or take a couple of quid. This convinced him it was a tear arsing incentive excercise with no real substance by the management.
At present he is working at a steady and efficient pace the others are rushing around like ■■■■■■ idiots on 1 and 2 am starts. They and him are on the same money and he knows this as his bird works in the office.

I think I don’t. But not entirely sure.
Getting paid percentage is really just code for “the gaffer makes it up as he goes along”. I know this fact 'cos when I ran my vans I paid the drivers a percentage which really meant “if I like you I’ll pay you more”.
Get one coming out of Kronaspan on the A483 Chirk, I bet my bottom dollar he aint on no fuel bonus
I think I would rather work 15 minutes more on my day than be on the limiter stressing my nuts off, at least the percentages will be in my favour and my employers, less point plus less stress for me and less likely to kill my wagon or anybody else for that matter.
Passed driving assessment and interview got offered job there n then between 580-680 a week in the bank 450 a week salary 100 nites out the rest is fuel bonus no % of what the truck makes now . Your on hours for runnin in on a sat 11 quid an hour…
