Mmm,can we keep this thread about religion and not about the educational standards of anyone.
OK fair enough - when we keep this thread about religion and when we research your Fundamentalist crew,
we return to the fact that your lot can be considered a Terrorist Organisation.
Using the poorly educated and those of limited intellect as their shock troops in Europe.
Just to add my contribution…
It goes without saying that Sploomy is heavily involved in religious lunacy, but to knock (and mock) a guy for his level of literacy and education is a bit over the top tbh.
I never judge anybody by their evident level of education, unless they are arsey with it.
Just because they can’t spell or form an intelligent sentence does not make them thick, nor inferior to me
I know guys who are not the best educated but are clever people, I also know educated academics who are complete arse holes…just saying.
Carry on.

Educational standards, analytical skills, and the ability to think rationally are core tenets when discussing Religion,
particularly the Corporate American version masquerading as Christian Fundamentalism.
Millions of Dollars are spent trying to snare the uneducated & those of limited intellect into Christian Fundamentalism.
I dont know about these organisatiins, but whats wrong with sending money to stop abortions ,promote family values, protect children.Let children have a childhood.
Cant see anything wrong with that, nitwithstanding throwing money at these problems might have limited results

Generally, I would tend to agree, however I have found most things in life to be heavily “context dependent”.
So when an ill-educated and irrational person with a specific agenda, albeit one he does not understand as fully as his “handlers” do, is (and I’m quoting directly from our deluded friend) literally “dragged put of [a Catholic] church” by one of his “Elders” in order to be inculcated into his current “cult”, then I think it is supremely relevant to highlight that this press-ganging could only occur when the press-ganged is sufficiently impaired as to be unaware of what is truly happening.
Liking your “shock troops” terminology Mr Smith, very apt.

As we thought, you have no idea about your handlers/elders and the organisations that fund them, yet you are offended when you are accused of being a member of a terrorist organisation.
Sploom:
Im not a member of those organisations and our church doesnt have any connection to them either.
My apologies Sploomy, it’s easy to misunderstand you, I had understood from your statements that your church followed, and has deep connections with the USA and Southern Evangelical Baptists.
If you get a plan, you can read the Bible in a year, which is my next plan.It is something I must do.More knowledge is always a good thing but when non believers are trying to catch me out,the same questions usually arise,so if you used to answering them, you csn be better prepared next time
Practice pat answers to those who highlight the gulf between your insane thought processes and reality;
Read the entire Big Book Of Fairy Tales but making sure to ignore those parts that don’t suit your handlers;
Steadfastly ensure you don’t make any effort to devote any time to your real educational development, in case you inadvertently awaken the ability to exercise critical thought.
OK, gotcha “Mr Lost Cause”. Now if you could only resolve to keep your delusions to yourself, then maybe this thread could die?
Im happy for it to do die but if someone wants to talk about spiritual matters,it would be nice to keep it open.Even if you dont agree with everything I believe,I presume you understand that others have different views.
When we are faced with problems, sometimes there are no solutions that the world can offer. That’s where the Bible has the answers.

By the age of 11, I more or less knew the New Testament (apart from revelations) off by Heart - I suppose you could call it knowledge, the same as memorising Terry Pratchett, Harry Potter or Snow White & the 7 Dwarfs.
Pure fantasy, but Terry Pratchett leads into much more knowledge than the Christian Bible Book Of fairy Stories.
I was lucky in my work to drive through most of the regions in the Biblical works of fiction.
Antioch to Damascus for example and all across Saudi Arabia the location of most of the stories in the Old Testament.
So, I have read it and I have traveled it - done my 40 days & nights in the desert.
Better you learn to read & write and have lessons in critical thought before your read the Bible - if you don’t learn the basic intellectual skills first, reading the Bible in your current intellectual state is a waste of time and a danger to society.
Sploom:

… they would be well advised to speak to any other religious person than you.
Why would anyone take advice from someone who is by their own admission poorly educated and who needs other people (your Elders) to tell them what to think?
Again we see your narcissism and arrogance, this is all about you not getting enough attention in your life, so you get it from religion, in your case an extreme cultist form of homophobic and misogynistic foreign (ie American) religion.
The underlined terms are those used to by psychologists to diagnose narcissism: Your lack of empathy for others (ie not stopping your crusade when asked to do so) is twinned with a grandiose sense of self-importance (ie all that crap about living with God after you die and having a special relationship with “him”), now you’re seeking to identify your need for excessive admiration, by volunteering yourself as TN’s spiritual Guru, this endorsing your belief that one is unique and deserving of special treatment.
You’ve had 40 pages of being indulged to the hilt with a whole load of utter, utter bollox
Guess what Robroy, you were the 1000th post too!
So,I guess youre expecting a prize, mmm, let me see,a free ticket to Heaven if you decide to become a believer!
