In hindsight, the Catholics got a lot of things right.
They had a system to get rid of fear, just go to confession and Hey Presto all forgiven.
As a teenager, I sailed with a catholic guy from Wexford, I remember going ashore with him in Bombay (could have been Calcutta)
Anyway, he insisted on going to the Cathedral before we ventured into the more entertaining parts of town, after he had done his Hail Marys or whatever, I asked him "For Fks Sake Jimmy, do we have to do this every port?? He replied “Unless I confess for last time, I can’t go out and do it again”
For a long time I thought Catholicism was pretty ■■■■■■ but looking back I reckon they had it cracked. Confess your sins and hey ho no psychological problems. So unlike the Baptists who are forever in fear of a possible sin they had never even heard of and suffer all sorts of health & relationship issues as a result.
With fundamentalism,that means nothing added to Bible and nothing taken away so all these oppresive rules can be cast to one side.Once you establish a relationship with God it becomes easier to deal with sin.You will love the things Gid loves and hate tge thing He hates,but if you are sinning,ultimatley,you are harming other people,directly or indirectly,so why should you live without fear of the consequences?.But if you confess your sins to God (not a preist),he will forgive you

By my reckoning, that’s at least 1,500 years, by which time so much has been added and so much taken away it’s impossible to keep count.
Also, you have regularly posted here that your lot are selective about the Bible and that passages & tales that don’t fit your narrative are part of the Bible you reject.
You try and have it both ways to fit your Elder’s/Controller’s rules, but you fail at every attempt.

Unless you get some help from Christ - you cannot survive death neither, let alone the second death after that…
Think of how many people must have laughed their sandals off when Noah built his ark miles inland…
Think of how many of these then tried to get themselves on board that ark, when they realized that Noah got it right, and the vast majority of everyone else - now perishes because they were NOT ready.
So it is with these latter days we now live in.
Forget the Mormons - with all their cash, they are clearly not preparing the Christian people for anything bar retention of those assets, rather than spending money on things as mundane as “Affordable housing estates on Hilltops” or “Interest-free banking for those in debt”…
Don’t be fooled by Organized Religion - is my humble suggestion.
It is in their interests to trick people already converted into “diving the wrong way” at the 11th Hour.
