He was a figure in history, same as I do not doubt William ther Conqueror lived , the problem I have is whether or not he had super powers and that he was the son of (a) god.

It was 2000+ years in history that he was alive, if he was as he claimed, why has he not come back?

l try and answer your questions on the merits but bearing in mind,if you dont want me quoting the Bible ,which we see as the inspired word of God,then its only my opinion and I dont believe that is better than anyone elses.Now,you said you believe Jesus existed,so we agree on that and even other religiond,Hindu,seiks,muslims and so on,they believe He existed although only as a person or a prophet as I understand it.Now about why God allowed the world wars to take place,I think we have to group this in with,why does God allow any evil,for that matter.If He stopped the 2 world wars taking place,we could be here asking why he allowed any wars or murders to take place and so on,so rather than keep moving the goalposts,I think its better to ask why He allows any bad things to happen.Well,lets say He decided to do this from midnight tonight.Within a few seconds past midnight,He would be busy stopping all kinds of evil.It would be a full time job.The whole world would be transformed into something else completly different to what it is.We would no longer have freedom of choice.
