this one karl?
I reckon thats the one mate, i remember it had horns on the side and square tanks, but they should have left it black! jj72, my dad has been subbing on Nicks for the last 3 or 4 weeks, good work, hes enjoying it, but he is very under-impressed with his trailers
i will ask him to mention the Young Ones.

Kindle,
Saw your motor on Monday, you were heading east on the A14 near Huntingdon (about 10.30 am), and I have to say it looks like a pretty tidy truck despite the colour scheme!
Yes mate, that was me, i had a lie in Monday, didnt have to get up till 4am!
had to bounce solo to Ipswich to get trailer, then tipped Peterboro, back empty to Ipswich.

HERES A COUPLE OF 530 TOP LINE SCANIAS I USED TO BE THE PROUD DRIVER OF GUYS.

Kate:
jj72:
neilf:
Maybe I’m confusing myself but when jj72 mentioned Martin Minshal maybe that was the name on the motor. It was 5 years ago and the memory ain’t what it was.yeah mine neither neilf
his motors were silver with lilac and grey stripes and metallic lilac chassis (?) and bumper etc - very nice
also on NL plates
You two can relax, you’re not going senile. It was Martin Minshal’s motor with the “530V8” number plate. He had two of them, this one was driven by Jeff Darby and the other by John Conneely. When they were sold on, John’s motor was subsequently written off by its new owner, in France I believe.
They were replaced with two more Scania’s, one of which was purple, with Martin Minshal on the headboard.
When Martin sold up, these two motors went to Mike Tasker, and became DNZ 6774 and DNZ 6775. It was 6775 that was originally purple, and has the same driver on it for Mike as it did for Martin

Was this one of them by any chance■■?
also, I’m assuming the purple and red one in the original pics was from this firm from the same part of the country as the Charles Russell motor??

Chorcheela,
That’s one of the first purple pair that Martin had. One was an ‘S’ reg and the other was on a ‘T’ plate One of them was registered with the “530V8” plate, but I’m not sure which one, and I forgot to ask John when I saw him today.

Corcheela, that Edward Gilder motor looks like it could be the one my dad drives now, his has got twin stacks and long air horns, i will have to ask him if he knows the original registration of his motor.

euromat:
nothing like a happy smiling driver!!!
I remember coming round the roundabouts out of the docks, and got stuck behind these 2 foreign motors, i dont overtake from the first roundabout to the last one, but these 2 were getting right on my wick, hence the attitude. I did blow em away big time when i got over the last ■■■■■ thou
when you have driven a V8 mat you will understand! ![]()
Kindle,
This page might be of interest!!! Look at the 530 with the reg no. T2CRT. But turn the brightness control down first ![]()
