I’m guessing it’s the same truck…the difference I noticed was that the 144 and the 530 badges are opposite ways round…

I need to get out more!

Tom, where did the after picture come from, i dont think it was one i took.
Looking at it, it must have been around the time i moved into it. Corcheela, thanks for the link, i wanted to see her in all her glory!The diesel tanks were taken off and replaced with big long range tanks.

I saw a couple of Russell trucks en route to cardiff this week, and I have to say I’m beginning to quite like the livery!!

PS I noticed in one of the later pics the Mike Tasker 144 which seems to be dark blue - is this the colour yours might become? I always think scanias look better in dark colours.

Spoke to my boss up the yard today, it should be going in for painting the first week in May, colour still undecided. Either blue or red, dont know what shade thou.
The blue 144 was sold by Tasker to Hogan (JFH) he painted it in what was then his fleet colour of blue, then Tasker bought it back around 8 months later. It has been sold on again to an owner driver i beleive, and it is still the same colour.

kindle, i spotted you on the A67 near eindhoven on friday dinnertime - I had just sat in an hours queue where that tipper had gone into the back of the fridge :frowning:

Whats the connection with the firm who own the DAF on the left, are they anything to do with your boss? I saw a pick up in Bury today with the same logo on it…seen this truck around a few times pulling a bulk trailer?

that bulker company i dont think is anything to do with piglet, dont think they have many trucks, i think they had a 95 just on fishmeal, mainly out of ipswich docks, well thats where i always saw it and thats what it was loading…

The dafs arent anything to do with my boss or Tasker, they just rent a couple of spaces in our yard. The 4 wheeler does sound nice doesnt it :smiley: My motor went to the spray shop when i got back to the yard at dinnertime today, i asked my boss what colour, first he said to mind my own business :laughing: 2nd time he said he still hasnt decided, so i will just have to wait 2 weeks until it turns up in the yard again, at last the orange eyesore will be no more :smiley:

jj, i vaugley remember that, you should have at least given me a flash and a wave! Youre welcolme to take a pic of the motor, but not me, i think im being watched :wink:

I found out exactly what colour its going to be at last! Its being colour coded so will in my opinion look the dogs danglies :smiley: And its not orange thank god! Its in the paintshop next week as well as last week, its being stripped down and the chassis shotblasted, everything is being done properly, it will be back on the road in a fortnight, so this week coming (after bank hol monday) i will be driving this again for a week, as the bloke i work for now now owns it.

its still quite tidy but the wheels are nothing like they were when i used to drive it, i will take a couple of pics of it next week at work.

My newly sprayed one will be done in time to make an apperance at the Crowfield truck show nr Stowmarket at the end of May :smiley: :smiley:

he is on the 10pm boat back into ipswich tonight, so maybe we will et some pics tomorrow, i believe its all done waiting for him!
