Harry Monk:
What I don’t understand is why you aren’t offering an hourly rate more in line with industry norms. Are you not anticipating getting a typical rate for the work you will be doing? I’m inclined to think you will end up getting the types of bloke who have been sacked by everybody else in the area because they are no good.
It is quite oblivious that you don’t understand or you wouldn’t post such comments.
What i pay and why is my business people do not have to apply for a job that pays £5.73 ph it seems to me that they are content to moan about it and be unemployed

yes but when things pick up again gumbo & real hauliers are paying good money thats we will not hear from you again cos you’ll have non one to work for you.
Well, I wouldn’t personally apply for it because I would consider having an interview for it to be a WOFT but I imagine that somebody will. I just don’t imagine they would be much good, or they would apply for a job which pays more.
Somebody who is inclined to nick a couple of jerry cans of diesel every time they fill up might consider it to be a reasonable rate

Somebody isn’t a “yes man” simply because they agree that you are unlikely to anybody prepared to drive an HGV for the national minimum wage who is any good. I mean, if you were looking for a job, would you want a job that paid the national minimum wage or would you be looking for more?
Out of interest, how much do you project will be the gross weekly earnings of the vehicle?
