£5.73 an Hour Fridges! Is it April already!

This is a wind up, as he asked for someone with a CPC to get the ball rolling (his quote) on 26 November. Now that is a quick start up and have 2 trucks and a third by January 09■■? Think not.

Clarky:
I would like to think that Gumbo will be fair and increase the wage accordingly?

Am still waiting for an answer on his location as I know some areas are notorious for low rates for drivers■■?

up and down the north east coast

Give it to a Pole, no loss.

Ok I see now this is in the Hull area…so what is the going rate for Class 1 drivers in this area■■?

Being a southerner I dont know, just curious…

clarkyboy:
im not knocking the people that would work for that mate,im knockin the person that wants you to work for that.they are obviosly takin the ■■■■ in this current economic climate knowing that people have got bills to pay and like you said a job is better than no job.personally i think its a wind up

The tragedy is that at that kind of rate, many people are actually better off not working and living off the state. The system seems to do nothing to reward those who make an effort and work. Employers that pay those kind of rates should be put up against a wall come the revolution.

The money is rolling in, so why pay poor wages?

You wont be thinking of me cos i have a job one with a proper wage . So by all means give it to a pole their prob the only ones you’ll get anyway.

From Gumbo’s replies this is obviously a load of dribble…

Two questions, whats the minimun wage in the UK and whats DSS work out at every week?

if it’s hull wages are low and if everyone was despearate for a job then they’d run for that i know i have in the past and i would again it puts food on the table and help keep the bils at bay espcially with the tax credits you’d get. It wasn’t going to be long before jobs like this were going to start popping up, And before you ask i run tippers at that rate about 18 months ago.

Best thread I’ve read on here in weeks…hilarious!

If the job is available and the rate is £5.73 an hour and you want it then apply. If you don’t want it then just ignore it, no harm done.

Would any of you argue the toss over the rate with the man/woman at the job centre if they showed you this job when you needed one, it was in your area and the hours suited…and perhaps you had been doing nothing for a while? I doubt there would be many in that category knocking it back…

scanny if the job centre found it for you you’d have no choice on the matter they make you apply for it.

ellies dad- minimum wage is £5.73 and the dss will pay a max of 94.60 a week and child tax credits top you up if you have kids upto a max off hundred pound but if kids are over 2 or 3 the job centre ask you both to sign on and it all goe’s ■■■’s up with what u get.
