Our Secretary of State the ‘wally’ Hammond is reporting to Parliament on the present adverse weather conditions at 1730…might be worth a listen/watch on BBC Parliament.At present he is speaking about a rail investment of about £50billion which should save punters a few minutes on present journey times and when Andrew Neil asked him that during conference he did seem a bit tongue tied,lost for words.

Unfortunately the minister of transports job has never been seen as important since the days of Belisha and Marples. The best MP’s only want the warm weather jobs, like Foreign office or trips to the USA etc
