I was talking to a guy today, he was saying I start work 2am. immediately I thought to myself he must be a lorry driver, no one else would have a job starting 2a.m. Few minutes later what do you know - he turns out to be a lorry driver
Rail Freight is very similar to the road haulage in regard to silly start times. At the moment I’m working as groundstaff in a rail goods yard
My roster this week is:
Sunday - 0800 to 1800
Monday - rest day
Tuesday - rest day
Wednesday - 0300 to 1000
Thursday - 0600 to 1400
Friday - 0600 to 1400
Saturday- tba probably 1800 to 0100
The other week when on nights a driver’s booking on time was 0001.
Sometimes the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
Got a job transfer within the company and going back to hgv driving, can’t wait to get back to driving. monday to friday working with start times around 6am
