corbetts did a lot of straw from the cotswolds and mid wales trevorhello again dave from down your way do you remember Ball of madley i think it was ,
They had some drags on straw work thank you TrevorYes remember them well Trevor with their green wagon & drags with a yellow stripe around the cab. I don’t think they do much hay & straw nowadays. They have a big store of rock salt and concentrate on that. The son runs the business these days I think. There was a big write up in the Hereford Times last year about the Dad and how long he had been trading etc.

Yes I remember his wagons well. I was in the Spinal Injuries Unit at Gobowen in 1992 with one of his drivers, a chap named Trevor Owen who had unloaded near Aberystwyth and was gathering his ropes up, when a farmer dropped a big bale on top of him breaking his neck, luckily his spinal cord wasn’t severed and he walked out of hospital a couple of months later.

Well he didn’t exactly walk away Trevor,He was airlifted to Gobowen and was paralyzed, but regained the feeling over the following weeks.
I did see one of Roger Davies wagon & drags coming around the roundabout by Morrisons in Aberystwyth this afternoon.
