Road gritting

Think they need to be seen ‘covering the mileage’…

If they don’t do the mileage and or spread the grit whether the weather is cold or not, come the next year, they don’t get the ‘budget’ for gritting…

They need to spend it (waste) it regardless before the tax year is out…

Roymondo:

dieseldog999:
usual council pish,if they dont spend it or use it this year, then they cant claim for it next year…

But the A55 is a Highways England responsibility - nowt to do with the local council…

It’s nowt to do with Highways England either, mainly because the part of it the OP was referring to is in Wales

The A55 is NMWTRA responsibility, nmwtra.org.uk/about-us/what-we-do/ , the welsh equivalent of H E.
The local councils provide the gritting to NMWTRA roads within their county.

I was behind him for about 5 miles before could get past no sign of an accident no diesel spillage.

Can’t work out why be gritting at 11 am . I’d of thought if anything better doing it in the afternoon .

Unless he didn’t realise got to where ever he was going then realised he had lost his load

He was an agency gritter. Didn’t realise he’d pressed the button to relieve his load
