'Other Work' - tacho laws - can you help please?

Hi.

Can anyone help - I drive from Cornwall to Avonmouth (3.5hrs), while being unloaded, my tacho is on ‘Other Work’ (usually takes 1hr), I then drive for another 1hr, before taking my 45mins break and the driving on again.

Is what I am doing legal? and right?

I seem to be getting conflicting replies on this.

Any help would be appreciated, as the new company I am starting with, will remove my weekly bonus for breaking any tacho laws.

to avoid any hassle i never drive to the full 4.5 hours i always break about 4.20 to avoid any infringments.
