Wonder if anyone has done a wide load to Bulgaria via Hungary & Romania?
I’ve been doing abnormal loads to France, Germany, Spain , Portugal etc for many years, however this is something new &'the agent we normaly use for permits for these countries, has no idea about how we get permits for Hungary, Romania & Bulgaria.
I’ve emailed the minstries of transport for these country’s & got a redirection to another website in Hungarian & no reply from Romania or Bulgaria.
Has anyone done this route or similar? If so where did you get permits from ?
I’ve heard rumours these can be bought at the borders. What I’m after is something
more than rumour though.

Wide? Heavy? Long?
I took a wide load out to Burgas in Bulgaria last year. All fairly straightforward. I got all the permits through EAF Logistics. If you need any advice, drop me a line.
Whelmic, you were not far from the resort of sunny Beach on your drop to Burgas.
Burgas is a pleasant town, with wide pedestrian streets, boutique and designer shops.
Varna by Golden Sands is the same.
There is a navy museum and large park.
Probably my answer comes to late, but haven’t been on the forum for a while.
Call them and ask, this is BG equivalent of VOSA

or BG equivalent of Highways agency - you will need permit from this agency in order to transport oversize load.
