Diecast Truck Models

Swapmeets/toyfairs have been mentioned earlier; I find these to be a real letdown in the last year or so. The sellers there all sit with silly grins on their faces, wondering who’ll pay £20 for a battered Eddie Stobart wagon, and frown if you dare pick anything up to inspect. A lot of what they sell is junk…better to go to a modelshop that sell trade-ins (mostly railway stuff though), but one I find that is ridiculously overpriced is the one in Stratford on Avon (old bus garage)-way overpriced, I’ve seen them selling 1:50s for, say £120 whereas one in Cheltenham sells the same thing for £75. I was in there about 4 months ago and a woman wanted a (I think, Vanguard) model of a Triumph whatever for her son. Shop bloke clearly didn’t have what she wanted but spent about 10 mins trying to flog any old crap he could think of… :unamused:
