This is all going to sound extremely old school for a bit but when I first started there was no satnav, mobiles weren’t really widespread and mobile Internet wasn’t really as is now.
These days there are so many tools to help its unreal. Thats not to say the “good old days” were any better or worse, it was just different. Nowadays you can scope out most places before you even go.
Having said that, I still drive round in circles sometimes looking for places, I still fudge a bay now and again and I dare say most do. Nobody fell out of the fanny knowing everything about lorry driving and everything else (except from Connor) and we all started off “less rounded” than we are now.
