Recently passed class 2, My situation is slightly unusual I think!
Did medical/ got provisional licence in 1993
Passed test in 2017.
Just recieved licence and it says valid until 2022.
So as a 44yr old do I need a medical at 45 or in 2022 at 50?
Was ecpevting licence to be valud until my 45th birthday.
I thought it was 45 regardless?
Next medical is due at the expiry date shown on licence next to the cat C
In your case the 2022 date is because this is your first licence issue after October 2012
It does not always go by age
Example
Pass medical at age 42
Next medicals due at 47 52 57 etc

Thankyou, good news then saves me having to have the medical for five years then.
I guessed it would go 42-47 etc but wondered if different when the previous one was before 40.
Seems odd that I can go 21-50-55 etc.
